Hey Mark, is there a schedule with you care to share with us? or could you make a video about it. I am very curious about what did you train in those 10 weeks. Thank you in advance, Jaroslav
@MarkLidsterfitnessgeezer4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jara, to answer your question everything I did is laid out in the video exactly as I did it. The first week was spent building up my strength before I attempted the first progression. So I followed each of these exercises for max reps or to max time for 4-5 sets with 2 - 3mins rest in between. Do this every other day. 4 workouts weekly. Then going forward from week 2, I followed the appropriate progression. Each progression was held for max time with a 3-4 minute rest in between sets. After these I then did any assistance exercises held for max time or done for max reps. I did 3 sets each of the assistance exercises with a 3 minute rest between sets. So for example week 2 looked like this: Tucked front lever hold max hold time Rest 3mins Repeat 4 more times Perform full leg raises max reps Rest 3 mins Repeat 2 more times Perform abs rolls max reps Rest 3 mins Repeat 2 more times do this every other day thats 4 times in a week. Repeat for other weeks using the video as a guide for exercises and progressions

@@MarkLidsterfitnessgeezerI’m curious is it possible for me to front lever I struggle with this skill a lot took me 10-11 months to hold the straddle front lever for 3-5 secs and someday I couldn’t even do the straddle front lever and just basically stuck on one leg front lever for 10-12 secs I’m 1 years and 3 month training for the full front lever I unlock the straddle back lever for the first time which is crazy. The only calisthenic skill I have is one arm push up,human flag,handstand,straddle back lever and muscle up . I’m 27 years old 5 ft 10 or 11 weighing 185-193lbs I hope I will achieve the front lever this yearc

Hey Mark, really impressed with your front lever progression. Really really impressed. For anyone reading this: CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY. Don't give up if its hard. I've been doing body weight exercises for 3 years straight now and have been doing a lot of your progression exercises to warm up but i have never attempted to hold front lever for more than 2-3 seconds. Its really hard and i gave up on it too easily/put my focus elswhere. Your video reignited my passion to learn proper fl. Thank you for that, I promise to share a vid once i get on your level. Wow at 56 years old and coming back from a distal bicep tear props to you bro. You are a inspiration. I tore my distal bicep tendon back in August deadlifting and these injuries suck. Went to the doc they said they couldn’t do anything as it was a old injury and I must have partially hurt it when I was younger and I trained through it without me knowing until that day in August of last year. On top of that nhs let me down so now I went private but I might need a graft for the bicep because of the delay. Hope that I can comeback from this injury like u. Peace. 💪
@MarkLidsterfitnessgeezer5 жыл бұрын
You're doing the best thing by chasing it and going private. Find a surgeon that has a good track record with injury especially helping athletes. Find one that has an aggressive recovery regime post op too. Never push to pain but keep exercising the arm daily especially the grip and pronation supination exercises. Check out my recovery vlog on my channel if you haven't already and good luck mate
