You need a bigger socket so the bearing goes in evenly otherwise you risk damaging it...

Oh no. Youre not suppose to hammer the center of the bearing only the outside edge only on the race or use a press tool. Sorry to be critical. I hope the bearing wasnt damaged. You did alot goid work hope you dont have to redo it sir.
