They need to have the golden buzzer, because, unlike the majority of the people who get the golden buzzer, they don't need to "showcase" anything else. This is a well-performed digital talent, which means that if you can make one set then you can make another, and it's guaranteed. Absolutely no additional "honing of skill" or "improvement", etc., is needed to make a different show every time. Unlike some guy with some little dogs, or literally any singer where it's possible that that might be the only song that someone can do well. A golden buzzer means absolutely nothing now because they only do it when they already agree, making it completely stupid and pointless to even exist. But yet, if it is simply that "we don't need to see anything else because we already know for sure that you can do it again and can also change it enough to make it interesting. And also you have one of the best acts." Which is exactly what it is now. Then there is nobody who fits that description better then a digital artist. Not to mention the fact that creating a brand new show, if needed, would take months of additional time then for example the dog guy adding some comedy, an illusionist adding some interesting music or dance-like moves or a storyline, or a singer adding some digital background to enhance the music except it's not any unique programming, she just has to tell the AGT staff what pictures or fans to use. Literally no guarantees at all of "increasing it to the ability to do different things", besides a digital artist. (In addition to the fact that they are of course the most interesting and cool act that AGT has seen in perhaps more then a decade... but that's just in addition.)
