Great job! I've done them at a scout camp out before too. Each troop did some kind of treat from around the world. We did them with the jam. Really good!

My grandma from Czechoslovakia made kolaches, and she would put prune,apricot filling, and poppy seed.

We discovered we do not like the poppy seed filling. But the jam flavored ones were wonderful.

Maybe a KitchenAide mixer would make that easier for you and your wrists. Also, why would anyone be offended if you mispronounce a word in a different language?

Yes, the KitchenAide mixers are great and we have one. However, we wanted to show all of you that making homemade bread can be achieved while you are out camping. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the concern. Angel would probably knead the bread with casts on, she realy loves making bread and feeling the dough in her hands
