Dude, I drive a 2016 Cascadia with 389k miles. About 3 months ago, I notice the truck was riding like my old 2010 Prostar. You hit one bump and it felt like you hit 5. I took it in Friday and told the shop to change the front shocks. Today was the first time driving the truck. It ride like it did when new. I got the truck with 19 miles on it.

First off, thank you for sharing your experience! How did you remove the top bolt on the driver side. My bolt is blocked by the water / fuel separator, did you remove the water /fuel separator?

I had to use a wrench on the side closest to fuel/ water separator was in the way and then use a ratchet on the open side

How much torque did you apply?
@AdventuresOfChrisAndJane6 жыл бұрын
i left it out on purpose because there actually is no torque rating for any of the shocks the front and cab shocks, with hand tools is as tight as you can get it, but i checked the torque of the bolts before i removed it and torqued back to that torque

Torque the shock bolts to 100 ft lbs and you should be good.
