Nice tourist line. Can't imagine there is a lot of business /personal business travel on a line from one little mountain town to another. This railway was constructed before ubiquitous automobiles, must be, right? Just like in the US. Trains ruled from their inception to the 1930s. I also don't see any freight handling facilities on this line, which is surprising to me. If there is freight, it must be loaded manually / by hand, to/from the passenger platforms? The line is narrow gauge ( 3' 6", 1067 mm ), would make transfer to standard gauge lines difficult. Perhaps this is one reason there's little freight. Thank you, I see Wikipedia has some information on this line. Very helpful.

This line is started opreation in 1927. In 1930s , this line is local train . But now , we can trip from Tokyo to Aizu-Wakamatsu city via this area by Yagan-railways opening and starting direct operation .
