Hey guys, so I would like to ask some help or advice: Recently my PC has started to act up whenever I play (or even load up) GHPC. The PC just shuts off. No blue screen of death. No crashing to desktop. It just dies at the main menu after a few seconds. I haven't changed any of my computer's settings or had any weird updates, and I've put well over 100 hours into the game and this has never happened to me. Now the game is unplayable and I've been unable to figure out what's causing it. Not a single one of my other games has EVER caused my PC to just switch itself off like that, and I've run some pretty demanding games. The computer itself is also a relatively new gaming rig which hasn't given me any major issues. I'd appreciate any help in this regard🙏.

Sudden shutoff may indicate overheating, though not sure about crashing on main menu. Have you repasted C/GPU recently?

@@becauseiwasinverted5222 Hi, thanks for the reply. No, I haven't repasted it recently, but I might just try that to see if that works. I hadn't considered doing that since I fully assembled (and pasted the C/GPU) barely 3-4 months ago. Maybe the thermal paste was a bit crappy, but I'll check just to be sure. This is really a bizarre issue, since my rig has been running it very smoothly until recently.

@@DylanPelzer-lq7oy Hey. If you pasted 3-4mos ago it should be fine, so that's probably not it then. Does it happen with other similarly performance-demanding games? If yes it might be some sort of hardware issue unfortunately, otherwise maybe hardware drivers are conflicting with the game somehow? Definitely ask on the discord, might get lucky there. Also I think they have instructions to retrieve a crash log, if your game is generating one when it does this it could be useful.

I’ve been a backer of this game since the beginning. They have thus far failed to replicate even a small fraction of the functionality that we had with M1 Tank Platoon II, which we had in 1998. There’s zero ability to control/coordinate other units and the importance of infantry is unrealistically downplayed. I guess it works as a tank platoon sim, but overall I’m disappointed that it can’t even match M1 Tank Platoon 2, except in the graphics department. Even there, it’s very poorly optimized. My 4090 can’t sustain anything above 60fps, which is nuts.

Infantry is still in the works, not downplayed. Optimization will always be in the works as new content is added and from what I understand, it's more CPU heavy than GPU.

Also depends on how you define "backer" because if you're a current backer on Patron, you would've seen some the preview of the development of this game.

guess you missed the early-Access part the developer's have shown off infantry model's multiple time before and also if you look at the road-map number 8 is expanded campaign and the dev's have the game reaches the 1.0 launch the campaign will be similar to M1 tank platoon but they will add there own twist and ideas into the mix do some Research before forming you own opinion
