Frontier Airlines N227FR first flight from Phoenix to Denver

N227FR, Frontier Airlines newest Airbus A320 with sharklets and sporting the new livery. The brought the plane up from Goodyear to Phoenix for a revenue flight to Denver before its unveil in Denver the next day! Sitting in 2A it was amazing to have that new plane, and leather smell. Arrived at gate A38 before she was towed to the hangar. It is frontier policy for every new airplane it goes into they have to pull it into the gate to make sure it fits.

Thanks for taking the time to video the flight... To answer Jack's question. The flight was an evening/night departure from Phoenix. Doc... the strobes are wired though sensors on the main gear, upon lift off they activate. The placement of the strobes on the Sharklets do allow more the "light" to be seen by the passengers. lavona ... the animal on the tail is the New Griz.. The aircraft performs well. The Airbus 320 family are outstanding and impressive. It was my pleasure to be the Capt on this flight. Capt Mihalcin

Sorry if this is too late, but I would like to tell you that takeoff roll was impressively rocket fast. It went from a zip to a crescendo to full-end power in just seconds. Crazy
