Thanks for posting this video. This video really shows how impeccable Jeremey can sing. I played drums with Frontiers for 3 years and this reminds of all the incredible times we had on tour. I just sent him a link to this video.

This lineup of Frontiers also included Greg Eanes on bass. On the far right of the stage. Also Chad Campbell on keys on the far left of the stage. Jeremey is in his prime here for sure. At one time, he was the closest to Perry of anyone in the nation. He sings through his nose slightly more than Perry but overall his vocals are among the closest I've heard to this day. Its very sad how it all ended for him. I saw him many times when he was in his prime but I saw one of his last shows before his vocal surgery and it was truly sad to see. I have heard the Journey demos and will always wonder what might have been.

Hey Corey thanks so much for the kind words. Really loved playing with all of the incredible musicians I’ve had the fortune of playing with over the years, including every one of the guys on this stage. Glad you were able to see us perform so often. Yeah those 6 months after my vocal cord injury were incredibly rough and the most humiliating time of my life… tried to take about 4 weeks off to recover after it happened, but we had gigs booked and the beast (all the band, crew, agents, etc) had to be fed, so I’d go to Duke and do voice therapy during the week then drive 8 hours for gigs the next weekend hoping for a breakthrough… then be humiliated on stage for 2 hours, disappointing fans and my band, but legally being on the hook for fulfilling our contracts. I’ll always remember driving home from Duke to Virginia on the phone with my agent and having him finally tell me just “forget it,” he was cancelling all our contracts, and I was finally off the hook. Unfortunately at that point the surgery had made things worse. It was all a lifetime ago now, I have a very successful career in a totally different business and miss performing for people… but hey, who wants to see a 50 year old jump around onstage anyway LOL. KZbin is serving me all kinds of Frontiers videos in my feed now for some reason, so it’s always a kick to read comments like yours and feel good about the good times we were able to share with so many people.

Hey I recorded that! LOL. Pretty loud in there that night. Anyway the singer - Jeremey Hunsicker was considered for the Journey gig and recorded 2 demos prior to the release of Revelation and the hiring of Arnel Pineda. Even got writing credit on the album on a song.

God he's good. If journey heard him, they would snag him.

They did hear him. He was considered before Arnel and recorded 2 songs with the band. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHPMknSNn7NmbbM
