Bad, unless war is your aim. Such a war will be bad for Islam. Sadly, I think you want war, not peace. You remind me of US Southern slave holders madly rushing into a war that would destroy their way of life. Good the North won. Idk why people in the comments are saying this is such a great, unbiased doc. For instance, they make the war of 1967 sound like a just "victory" without any mention of the violations Israel was committing against the Palestinians. Also, there's no mention of the US support, enabling them to overwhelm the Palestinians who had so many military disadvantages. The documentary glosses over all that as though the Palestinians were attacking Israel unprovoked. They show the leader of the PLO (presumably) saying "kill the Jews" but ignore similar statements by Netanyahu. Israel had no intention of honoring the Partition Resolution from its beginning, but the west (and this doc) has turned a blind eye to decades of encroachments and human rights violations. If we are to see a full picture of Netanyahu, we should see him in his long game: the provocateur, not his preferred image; just a man seeking refuge for his people.

@øranuto husband I think that for a 90-minute documentary that the producers have compiled as much as they could. There is this unpleasant little procedure called editing that has to happen. Without it, a narrative would be sustained well beyond the attention span of the average adult viewer. There has to be only as much detail as is necessary to give the viewer a reasonably objectified insight into a situation.
@William_sJazzLoft4 жыл бұрын
@øranuto husband no doubt. What is troubling is that here in the United States, the media landscape has become less objective. There is still dissemination of facts. But those facts are often spun in such a way as to support some very extremist narratives. Before the advent of 24-hour cable news and the internet it wasn't that way or at least it didn't seem that way. Social media is increasingly defining and setting parameters for the output of mainstream media and that is an extremely troubling development.

I can't help but ponder the potential connection between the relationship of Hamas and Netanyahu. Around the 35-minute mark, when Netanyahu was trailing in the polls against Peres, an attack involving a bus full of civilians occurred, seemingly benefiting Netanyahu. Similarly, fast forward to 2023, when Netanyahu is grappling with corruption charges and the potential end of his political career, another attack involving civilian casualties, with Hamas involvement, takes place in the absence of IDF on what would typically be heavily guarded perimeters. While it may be coincidental, there is also a compelling possibility of a link. Notably, it's worth mentioning that Netanyahu had reportedly played a role in the formation of Hamas as a counter to the PLO.

Netanyahu and his government consider Hamas an asset; Smotrich is quoted as saying so. So, they have no interest in fighting for the hostages, only the land on which Palestinians have settled. Hamas' terrorism only furthers their cause of exterminating Palestinians and making it seem as if it's a righteous cause. They could have eliminated Hamas a long time ago, if they really wanted to.

This is a generally really good documentary from an American perspective. I'm not an expert, but I've lived in Israel and know quite a bit about the country and there were things I didn't know that I learned in this documentary, and it tried to be relatively even handed. heard of international law....This right was recognized by the League of Nations, as an extension of the international community, in unanimous vote in favor of the wording of the British Mandate for Palestine. On July 24, 1922, all 51 members of the League of Nations voted in favor of a text stating: "The historic connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and the right to reconstitute its national home in this country are hereby recognized," and this right has been established in international law . Article 80 Chapter 12 of the Charter of the United Nations (1945) is part of the chapter on international trusteeship systems and excludes the trust agreements specified in sections 77, 79 and 81 of that chapter. A school of experts in international law sees in Article 80 the validity of the resolutions of the San Remo Conference (1920) of the League of Nations as legitimizing the establishment of the State of Israel, and not necessarily a resolution 181 that did not materialize. Similarly, the Jordanian annexation of Judea and Samaria in 1950 was not recognized by the countries of the world, and therefore also expired, and therefore the Balfour Declaration of 1917, which designated Judea and Samaria as a Jewish state Some jurists see the provisions of the Mandate as justified in terms of international law for the application of Israeli sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip, since the Mandate recognized the rights of the Jews in the Land of Israel from the Jordan River to the sea and was intended to facilitate the naturalization of Jews in Israel. Their national rights, but only their civil and religious rights..This is what international law prescribes

J P Judaism’s revelation narrative wasn’t even from Abraham to followers, the revelation narrative was a public event, which the Torah claimed was after Abraham so if Abraham were to pass this religion down, the Torah would just be one big contradiction, G-d forbid
@maxharouni55694 жыл бұрын
J P Also, here is one big argument for its divinity that is never looked at unfortunately, but hopefully this will give u a new perspective my guy: The arguments of what religion is true can be easily proven as what the outlier is. For example, every religion has the same story “I spoke to the Creator, ALONE, here is what He said...” without exception, except Judaism. Judaism is the only religion with mass revelation. “3 million people heard G-d speak”. How can this be passed from one person, or even a group as a legitimate religion if no one ever met these people. Additionally, the only way to work around this is to say people heard that 3 million of there ancestors heard Him speak, got their Book of Instructions, then the tradition got lost. However, this can’t work because there has been no such record or even archeological evidence of a lost tradition, therefore immediately making Judaism the only religion to rely on the credibility of 3 million people. Next-what does it say? The Torah, or this immediate outlier that the Jews claim was given to them by the Creator in order to know how the Creation should live, there was prehistoric animals as described in the Book of Creation/“Sefer Bereshit” they were called “taninim gedolim”-giant reptiles. Also, Gemara masechet chagigah p 13a says they were 974 generations before Adam, which is interpreted as prehistoric humans. Also, the infamous age of the earth argument does NOT contradict the Torah for the calculation of the age 6000 years starts from Adam, not the Creation, and the Six Days, are commonly interpreted as sets of period of time. Now, Gemara masechet p12a says that the universe started with a dot that keeeps expanding. Gemara masechet brachot p 32 b says there are 10 to the power of 18 stars in the universe(the Gemara is a critical part of the Torah that’s thousands of years old!) Anyway, not only does Judaism become the only religion that once learned what it actually says, not just the dogma of it from some atheist, not only does it not contradict science, yet its ahead of it, proving to be the only revelation to have legitimacy and only have legitimacy if given by the Creator of this miraculous world. Anyways, the last argument I want to make- because I can explain to you the divinity of this religion forever-is simply look at the Jewish people. From the Greeks, Romans, Babylonian, Persians, Pogroms, Holocaust, more than daily anti semitism, we not only thrive, but have a country that’s flourishing. The Jews owe its survival to the promise the Creator made to their ancestors that they’ll never be destroyed(punished, like any good father, but not destroyed). Anyway, to say this small group of people survived and flourished by chance defies logic and the help of G-d is manifested as literally their only shield.

They were adversaries but there's something that is not mentioned here - just before 2016 US presidential election Obama signed the biggest ever military aid package to Israel (38 billion dolars over 10 years). I guess it was to cheer Netanyahu up after Iran deal. We all know what happened next - Trump won elections and dumped the deal. Now Netanyahu has no Iran deal and huge military aid from US. 😂

Fast forward to 2024 and Netanyahu could not have been more correct in his assessment.

Vincent Cuttolo Genocide means killing a lot of people. Now- if these folks were against killing lots of people- then they could look at Syria where over 400K Christians were killed- or Yemen where 10s of thousands were killed. But if a Palestinian gets jock itch it becomes a war crime for the UN. Nobody cares about this anymore. Nobody. The usual suspects overplayed their hand and they lost.

More Israelis were killed AFTER Arafat signed peace than before. The Palestinian idea of peace is Jihad Forever. This is why the Israeli electorate won't vote for "peace" nut cases who get more and more innocents killed by their Palestinian tefforist "peace partners".

It is interesting to note that Hussain Obama was very generous towards Israel’s enemies, especially the Iranians and the Palestinian tefforists. Trump, for all his many shortcomings, knew enough to stop sending hundreds of millions of $ to those Jihadis. Biden has now returned to shoveling money onto the worst of the Jihadis and championing their fundamentalist cause. Note that it was Trump and Netanyahu who signed peace treaties with several Arab states. Real peace. Biden will end up being the same loser that Obama was.

@Gary Fletcher while i respect what happened to millions of people during ww2 and that includes jewish population Israel was artificially created state after ww2. And they are doing exactly the same thing with the palestinians.Thats the reason their neighbours hate them. And they have no right to kill anyone either. Warcrime is a warcrime nomather who commits it.And you cannot just go and grab land and artificially create countries US Russia and Britain do not learn from past mistakes
