I found using the Slope option was a must for the A2A172 when it released. Made a positive difference. FSUIPC is a clever program.

Good video, but I have one comment: In order to avoid unwanted effects of known "dead zones", move the levers to their min, then pull back a tad before hitting the "set" button. Do the same for max and the center positions. This will prevent value changes just by having your hand on the levers, and the fact that the max and min values will vary every time you move the levers. A purchased version of FSUIPC is a "must have" for any flight simmer.

Thanks Froogle - very useful!! I finally moved to a registered version of FSUIPC and didn't realise the control binding was so useful/customisable. Now using my TM Warthog I can have 2 seperate throttles in the PMDG 737, and also the lift-up idle cutoff buttons work with the reversers now (not possible in FSX standard config, even with full repeat set), and then I can have a different profile in my A2A Spitfire splitting to throttle and prop control etc. Also - now idle in the 737 is 'actually' idle!

As a saugage fingered, (almost) 68 year old technophobe who can just about cope with the defaultFSX... I only recently found you on utube! as a result of that I have started to download 'add-ons! My first was the A2A Cessna 182... what a shock to the system that is, but I love it! I also down loaded Aerosofts free 'Santa Ana airports' ..and every free second of my life is spent doing circuits and bumps at the John Wayne Airport. One problem... I find great difficulty in 'twiddling the knobs' with the mouse! and I wonder if installing FSUIPC might help in correcting the problem?

So that all setting go through FSUIPC, and show how to make sure settings in FSX are definitely shut of, and how each section in FSUIPC works. Speaking specifically in regards to 10:19 - is there a way to have the control input be completely raw to where there isn't any acceleration to it? I swear I've been using MSFS since 2001, but the inability to have ACTUAL control inputs is borderline forcing me to switch to X-Plane at this point.

Correct me if I'm wrong. If I uncheck "Enable Controller(s)" I believe I would have to re-assign all the buttons and controls on my Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant. I did not want to do that, so I left Enable Controller(s) checked and then in FSX I deleted only the controls that I intended FSUIPC to manage. Seems to work - am I understanding the process correctly?

froogle, I have thrustmaster hotas x joystick with the throttles and also thrustmaster pedals. Since i connect the pedals i cant use joystick's rudders and i really like better to use joysticks rudder while im taxing around the airport. I can fix it with the fsuipc so i can use both rudders?

Froogle, i have tons of questions about fsuipc that you went through quickly. But every time i do one thing it leads to questions i dont get the answers too. I don't even understand the instructions Dawson gives because he "assumes" the reader already knows certain things. Do you know any interactive site i can use to assist me?

Excellent video there that helped me clear quite a lot of misconceptions about this gem of software...makes quite a difference to the otherwise twitchy and imprecise control movements of joysticks like the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and Saitek ProFlight Yoke (both of which i own). I only wish you could make this video a little more informative by giving us a rough idea of how much to set the response curves of the pitch, roll and yaw axes for a particular category of aircraft e.g. response curves for a 747 will be quite different from that of a Cessna or an F18 or an Extra 300...is there any recommendation that you can give? Or should they be adjusted based purely on "feel"? Please advise.

Hi buddy ..... this 1 is overall a very informative tutorial. I have connected 3 joysticks to my sim ... of course 1 for flight controls and other 2 for various pushbuttons and rotary knobs. Assigning pbs was done after watching your tutorial, but m unable to assign rotary knobs like airspeed or altitude etc using potentiometers of the joystick. Pl need your guidance in this aspect.

hello froogle, great video! I do have a problem though with the axis! I assign the buttoms as i wish, no problem there, but when i try to assign the Y axis as the elevator, the fsupic recognises the axis but it doesn't allow me to assign it to something, the check boxes below the type of action required, is grey and unclickable...do you have any idea what could the problem be? I am using a Logitech Attack 3

Hi Froogle: Although the steering wheel of the aircraft is moving right and left, the airplane wont go letf and right on ground and unable to taxi. This happened upgrading to p3D 4.1 Any clue? Thanks!

If you turn off the controller and set up fsuipc for your plane what happens if you simply go back and click on "enable controllers do my controls revert back to not using fsuipc?

No. You'll get a FSUIPC override, which basically means that most of the times, FSX won't be able to know where controls inputs comes from with unpredictable behavior. Bind your controls either FSX menu OR FSUIPC. Never both at once.

+kentred studios It might. But for big planes especially you need proportional control. I believe Thrustmaster just came out with a new set of rudder pedals. Having used the Saitek pedals for over a month now, I can say there is no substitute for a foot-operated rudder system. But of course you have the choice. Not sponsored by Saitek or Thrustmaster

Hello. I have a problem with my FSUIPC4, and i was realy hoping YOU could help me.So i downloaded the FSUIPC because i was making a overhead panel and i needed to program it so that when i pusht a button or switch it whould happen on the FSX Steam edition to. Like a taxilight for example. So on FSUIPC i programed my yoke,quadrant and rudder pedals. And everything worked fine. All buttons and axees worked. But straight away when i for example programed a button on taxilight, i whould then push the button/switch and nothing whould happen in FSX. FSUIPC does registrate the buttons/switches but something is stopping it from working in fsx. I then deleted the hole of FSUIPC and re-installed it. And it still didnt work! I dont know what is wrong and i have tried fixing it for a very long time, but now i realy need some help. System info: FSX steam edition,FSUIPC (payd), Leobodnar chip (for buttons/switches),windows 8,PMDG 737 ngx, If any question PLEAS ask,And pleas help me.

Hi Froggle, your vids have always been so much help to me, I have just got FSUIPC and its grate solved all my issues but in turn has created one which I'm hoping you can help me with, I have the pmdg 737 and mostly all works fine except the parking break, as normal it well have the bottom left corner release parking creak with (.) but this well not work and as I normally do I use the lever in the aircraft itself but this also does not work and nor does my joy break button, all other aircraft seem to not have this issue but no matter what I do and have the break released in the aircraft I still have the bottom left release break text, any kind of help would be very much appreciated.
