Hello fellow Frosties I finally have a brand new video for you! After a lot of requests I finally have a big bad Tyrannical affix Frost Mage mythic dungeon PoV. I also have a lot of commentary throughout the key- my thoughts going pack by pack, information on trinkets and legendary choices, plus a whole lot more! I really hope you enjoy!

Well meta matter for only the highest keys and when the best players are playing the class. When the random pug leader declines everyone and is waiting for a fire mage to carry his +15 well lets just say he is going to be disappointed.

Hey nice vídeo! Regarding the trinkets, Ive simmed with glyph, unbound and cabalist and for M+ (Patch 5bosses 40 seconds) and the "optimal" sim seems to leave the glyph out. Additionaly I feel that the sim spec Im running is not the best for tyranical weeks as the fight tend to be like 2, 3 mins.. what do think? Do you sim differently in tyranical?

If I want to sim single target I usually sim default settings. You could change the time from 5m to 3m! Always follow the sim, it might be because you don’t have enough ilvl/stats to make glyph good for you yet at the ilvl. Or your other trinkets are better!

hey frosty! i have 2 questions: 1. is mastery even good for freezing wind (frozen orb damage overall)? 2. should i use blizzard on single target fights to reduce frozen orb cd? does it worth the gcd?

The best way I can put it is that the other stats provide more dps gain than mastery. Even though it buffs frozen orbs damage, it’s not as much of a damage increase as the other stats (basically). And no never use blizzard on single target! The only time you would is if you need frozen orb for a certain time, aka for a pillar on sludgefist

@@m_rod9562 I was thinking this as well. Though there doesn’t seem to be anything special going on. They are all great but there’s not big spicy dps or pulls, it all kind of seems regular standard stuff. Other than first pack maybe. Which makes it more unreal to me anyway lol

@@ands2595 yeah definitely! But honestly, doing dungeons with friends / guilds is far more efficient than your typical pug comp. She makes this +21 look smoother than my typical +10-12.

I’d say that it’s more that They know What They’re doing and playing their classes well. I’m pugging 19/20’s and most are Also smooth. So think it’s more about the players and not the coordination

Hi. Question from another Frost Mage here (~1,6k rio): I realized that you were using mirrors pretty much off cooldown but for me it felt like you were wasting nearly 60-80% of the ice-lance shatters that it brings with it because you had fingers of frost procs all the time. I think that is because you are using mirrors together with your orb - isn't that resulting in a loss of dmg or do I have a thinking error here? I always use mirrors when orb is done giving me fingers so I have something that gives me proccs before my next orb is ready. Is that wrong thinking? This results sometimes in me not using mirror for a bunch of packs when the tank makes some big pulls after one another. But I actually don't think I'm losing dmg because Orb > Blizzard > Lance Spams is more dmg in my book then wasting time on mirror and squeezing a flurry in there - don't you think? Well actually I'm very interested in what you think on this matter because it may alter my playstyle completely (of course for ST we would chain those cooldowns - that's out of the question. But what about Multi-Target Packs?)

Hello I've got a question. So the Aliancie equivalent of Bloodlust is Heroism for lore purposes. Me as a mage I usually ask at the beginning. When do we do BL. And it's always BL in horde chat. You are obviously Aliancie cos you called it Hero. Do you guys call it Hero? I'm just curious. Great vid BTW :)

Good question! I think we actually call it BL sometimes as well! We call for “hero” most of the time though haha

One thing you can do for the ice block GCD issue is make a cancel aura macro rather than waiting to click ice block a second time and it will instantly cancel it.

I think she's just REALLY good at timing cooldowns. She says use it on CD but somehow gets icy veins up for every boss. I dont think she's lying but there's some kind of behind the scenes big brain stuff that's making that happen. (And a 226 IP conduit)

I think you're wrong with the last boss prediction mechanic. Its the distance, because if you blink out of it (so waiting max time then moving all at once) the shot will still CATAPULT out and can snipe someone, because you ended so far from your start point

Thing i see here is that you never used (unless i m wrong) Alter time on prides, this was really almost mandatory for high keys prides, you cast it when full life and your healer will breathe a bit more, it could have saved your life once or twice on this push ;) (i have a macro in /s advising i m alter timing so the healer won't have to worry too much about me, you can find weakauras as well). It took me quite a while to use Alter time properly but when your master it, it really carries just A LOT ^^ ! GL HF GG to all frost mages community btw ;) !

Oh yeah definitely! Although usually when we pushed, we pre-organised healing cds and alter time was usually pointless because there was big aoe healing anyway 🥰 For sure a good use in pugs though!

Freezing winds is the go to for mythic + content because it lets frost mage put out predictable big dps. It's not as good on aoe as glacial frags and it's not as good on single target as slick ice. I've run with FW since blizz improved it in all mythic's. Raid I just change out lego's as needed. Nice run through though; it's appreciated.

You dont really have the globals to cast arcane explosion. Freezing winds gives you so many FoF procs and glacial fragments you spam IL

I mean if it was like 5+ adds and blizzard was already down I would probably AE instead of slow casting frostbolts, until I had orb back which should be fast with 5+ adds!

@@corvoattano8567 yeah you can use it in those situations. It’s just the damage profile with freezing winds is funnel, so I pretty much do single target rotation. I guess in some big packs you can switch it up with arcane explosion. However I’m focusing priority mobs because generally it’s better for the key and I’m in funnel mind set. If I wanted “little bit of damage to everything” damage profile I’d play glacial fragments probably. But there are definitely packs you could just have fun and pad the meters with AE harmlessly if you want. Even with freezing winds
