If too quick feel free to slow down, there is no talking so you can easily cater at what speed works best for you If multiple parts that only have the letter and number combinations at the end instead of lod.000 and such try renaming each one like this "armour:med01a:lod_0" I name the first bit after what the item is. Alternatively follow this naming convention if the item doesn't fully import. For example for editing the Shokra-Taar I named each part like this: armor:bdy_qf_arishock_model_mesh_lod_0 armour:bdy_qf_arishock_model_mesh_lod_0 bra:bra_lod_0 skin:bdy_qf_arishock_model_mesh_lod_0 the second armour having a slight variation because of both parts belonding to each other.

Hiya, anytime i try to import the mesh to frosty editor i get an error: (ERROR) Import file must contain at least one mesh at lod level 0, do you know why this might be? LOD 0 definitely exists and is named so

hi padme, i wanna do another nude mod, however when i tried to import a model to replace hm_basenude_model_mesh, it showed meassage: [MeshSet Editor] (ERROR) There was a mismatch in the amount of LODs defined in the imported file and existing mesh, how can i deal with that.

@JOEMDMD that is due to not having enough LODs for import. For example veilguard meshes go up to .005 where dai meshes go up to .003 sometimes .004

Hi! Thank you so much for the video! But I am having a problem, when I import the mesh, frosty outputs the following error "Index was outside the bounds of the array." and as a test I tried no to change anything from the mesh, I just export exactly as you say on the video, open on blender and without changing anything I save exactly as you also show in the video, same configuration... any ideas? btw, the mesh I wish to edit is flemeth armour: "bdy_hf_flemeth01_model_mesh" and the mesh's names in blender are "blinn1:bdy_hf_flemeth01_model_mesh_lod.000"

But if a mesh isn't importing with the name it is given. try changing it to something like "blinn1:flemeth01:lod_0" and see if that works. if .000 doesn't work sometimes changing it to :lod_0 will

Hello! nice video. I had a question.. when I try to edit morph mesh for Madden 24 in frosty editor, I export it to blender edit it then re import. However this does not work because it gets corrupted is there anything i can do to successfully re import edited morph mesh files? thanks!

Hello Padme. I was wondering, do you think this technique would be good to edit headmorph for Abelas, basically give him ears from another elven head, Solas for example, and merge it so that it is his head morph with normal elven ears?

Sadly head morphs don't work same way as editing meshes and importing a head mesh that has been edited in blender/max sadly results in the mesh exploding in game. It would likely need something editing in the hex code of his res file but I haven't yet been able to work out what is what in the face part of the hex code.

How important are the names for the objects/meshes in Blender in regards to importing into Frosty? Because I'm trying to edit the mesh for uni_em_sentinal_med01a_model_mesh, but the length of the mesh's name exceeds Blender's character limit for objects. So when importing the FBX file into Blender, none of the objects end in "lod.000". For instance, what *should* be "uni_hm_sentinal_med01a:uni_em_sentinal_med01a_model_mesh_lod.000" is instead "uni_hm_sentinal_med01a:uni_em_sentinal_med01a_model_mes_3e9a6de". I have followed your tutorial to the letter, but I just cannot re-import this mesh into Frosty after importing it into Blender, even if I haven't touched anything. Other meshes with shorter names work just fine, but ones with longer names don't. Any idea what I do? EDIT: Okay, I played around with a few different meshes, and yes, the names are important, lol. But that means I'm completely stuck because the name of the mesh and its material is too long for Blender, and I have no idea how to work around that. :(

Yeah sadly there are a few edge cases where the name does that. Try "armour:med01a:lod_0" I had this issue just the other day and somehow using the old naming frosty used helped me If multiple parts that only have the letter and number combinations at the end try renaming each one similar to the above. I name the first part after what it is I am going to try to make another tutorial that shows working with those naming issues

Not sure but that error could be that not all the mesh pieces are assigned to the skeleton. You have to keep some of the parts separate armor1:bdy_hf_arishock_model_mesh_lod.000 (part 1 of outfit) armor:bdy_hf_arishock_model_mesh_lod.000 (part 2 of outfit) bra:bdy_hf_arishock_model_mesh_lod.000 (bra can be used for accessories and such) skin:bdy_hf_arishock_model_mesh_lod.000 (skin) but basically you have to rename the parts to this. I found adding the legs and arms as one mesh, then the chest and frills as one and then skin as one helped. armor1:bdy_hf_arishock_model_mesh_lod.000 (legs and arms) armor:bdy_hf_arishock_model_mesh_lod.000 (chest and frills like the long flowly bit) skin:bdy_hf_arishock_model_mesh_lod.000 (the skin that show) but if your mesh stretches at all in game, like if it was the arms swap the arms to the bra slot for example. hope this helps. I hope to make a tutorial for the arishok armour at some point but not sure when it will get finished

Hi, thank you I'm glad they help. I actually have a combo of tutorials that should go along with this one. The naming in this tutorial will always be what even new meshes need to be named for example. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4G0Y4SMi66rgrc - this is a tutorial for transferring weights from one mesh to another so if a custom mesh or from another game you'd first do this with your mesh and then you'd follow this tutorial. Instead of Cullen's armour it would be your custom mesh you're then renaming to match the names of the outfit you're replacing. So the main outfits that get replaced are the Arishok armour and the prologue armour as they have the most parts to work with. And then you'd use the in game code to make the game use the appearance of those outfits on other outfits like I show how to do in this tutorial kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIaWoox8naqGorM if you made your custom outfits for another game and want a quicker way to convert them to same pose as DAI I have this tutorial kzbin.info/www/bejne/haDJnZabhq17Y9E which is the method I use to do this, including the method I use for converting from one race to another. But I can definitely try to look into making a combined video showing all the methods in one.

No worries at all. I think to use horns on other races you would maybe need to create them as Helmets and then use the Helmets on Mod to make them consistently on. www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/3596 this is that mod. My tutorial here hopefully should help kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6GYYmyKgbiCnMU just bare in mind names in blender may be different. But that tutorial will help you set up so hair still shows when the Horns are equipped via the helmet slot.
