Fun fact: The Cold War from The Beacon mission in the campaign has 20 round magazines- five bursts per reload. With extended mags in MP you can only get 4 bursts

I've been in love with this weapon since a few weeks after this game's release. I typically run Holo pilot (for that extra half-second of the enemy's confusion sometimes or as a decoy to find where exactly they are around corners). I use frags just because of the fun but also switch between gravity star from time to time and any pistol for short range encounters May seem illogical but I guarantee it's a lot of fun, many great clips with this loadout

Dude TYSM I made the best pilot set 1 - Stim ( Fast movement speed+healing so i dont need to use Fast Regen kit ) 2 - Arc Grenedes ( I can low the enemy health, leading to a 2 - 3 shots kill ) 3 - Cold War ( Rapid Reload and Tactical Kill, so i dont need energy cell kit ) 4 - Master of Explosions pilot kit (so i have more arc grenades, witch boosts the entire system)

I'm almost 300 hours in, and the cold war is my only weapon above G10. I use it in a class I call "War In The Air" mostly because I designed it around the idea of area of effect weapons. My tactical is phase shift and I like it a lot because it allows me to quickly cancel my shots if I'm about to blow myself up with a burst, and a single phase almost perfectly covers the reload time of the Cold War, especially when you factor in the re-orientation time of the enemy you're running from. My secondary is the Thunderbolt AT weapon and the electric smoke grenades. It works fantastically well for me and it has been the only class I have not changed from G5 through G13 so I highly recommend it to anyone who likes jumping from wall to wall.

Using the Cold War earlier today, was doing really well with that "experimental" loadout you recommended. Consider arc grenading, grappling effectively, then fire. They can't hit you, you are too fast, you have the most advantage from what I was able to do.

The experimental loadout you mentioned is my main loadout for the Coldwar. Grapple - Arc grenade - Fast reload and Extended mags and the MGL for AT. I almost never take a pistol with the Coldwar unless I'm running a pistol only loadout. The Stim loadout with tactikil is also pretty good. But I use Frags with that loadout. Amped weapons is a must as it gives you a slightly quicker reload. I've found for the most consistant shots there are some do's and don'ts. Do shoot at pilots on walls and floor, aiming ahead of where they are moving. Shoot at pilots on flat roofs. Don't shoot at pilots on uneven surfaces or stairs as unless you get direct hits the splash damage can be negated by the little lips on scenery. Same applies to angled roof tops, its possible to land four shots next to a pilot and if he's at the apex of the roof but over the point from the impact point, he'll take no damage. Do not pointblank pilots with direct hits, the server will apply damage to you, then delete your shots so the enemy takes no damage, if you have to point blank go for splash damage. Always keep moving, when your moving consisder reloading even if you've used 1 salvo, you don't have time to reload in a fire fight. Play a hit and run play style, your reload is very slow,. Playing the Coldwar you have the only gun in the game that can reliably shoot round corners. Land splash next to cover or a walls and enemies hiding from direct line of sight will take damage. Weapon wise your biggest threat is going to come from SMG and EPG users. They both rely on mobility so will be hard to pin down, consider throwing your arc grenade first then landing your Coldwar shots. Last one is do support your team mates, especially at long range. Say your on homwstead and spot a team mate fighting an enemy at the other side of the map. With the Coldwars nice splash damage and spread of shots it possible to add damage to that enemy giving your team mates a much easier fight. In addition you can use it to surpress enemies in cover and force them out of line of sight. I think thats all. I only have 1 day and 7-10 hours with the Coldwar and am still learning itys ins and outs. Its a fun weapons to use though.

kudosbudo never go for direct hits unless you are absolutely sure all 4 will land directly. direct hits do less damage than regular splash damage. meaning if you hit 2 direct hits and 2 splash it wont kill reliably or at all most of the time. they will have a sliver of health. with good aim you can kill someone in just 3 hits if they are right next to someones feet, the 4th being a safety hit.

Aww yes, my favourite gun. I have over 10k with it. Here are a few tips form me I would like to share. 1) Always cook your arc grenade whenever you play against good players​ (on PC scroll your mouse to cancel it). 2)If you equip "quick swap" on both cold war and secondary, swapping it will reduce the delay between each fire(burst).

XandyPants I do not. I actually abuse corners of rooms to say afloat while the enemy thinks I am dropping down so they mess up their shot and get a full burst to the face.

As soon as you see an enemy, charge a shot. Let your cursor fall onto the enemy, and make sure you get to the right spot as soon as you fire

I ran phase with the Cold War a lot, every phase out was a chance to reload and re-position... That with speedloader and tactikill worked well... Also the only weapon I use hover with for accuracy and to limit some of that unindented splash damage.

some people have a hard time realizing that this isnt call of duty or halo. im not sure why though. i have a friend that i introduced to tf2 on xbox: he just couldnt wrap his head around the whole battle while in the air thing and instead just kept running along the ground jumping and wall running only when he wanted to get up high.... needless to say he quit after only a couple days.

I need to play titanfall more. When it first came out and I only played it, I would tear people to shreds but now with all sorts of other games taking my attention, whenever I go back, I usually do adequate at best. Back in 2016, I once went on a 32 kill streak and my hipfire accuracy was nearly perfect now I can hardly hit anything when hipfiring. That's why I don't play it as much because I expect more from myself that I can no longer pull off

Here's an idea; Burn Cards.. hear me out but for minor things like: Unlimited Tackles like Cloak and Grapple only, not the rest, except maybe for Stim... Appearance, so us pilots can look like a grunt or a spectre? maybe even a marvin... This would work because Advocate Gifts need something to making a worth while instead of getting the random (skins we COULD get from challenges) or credits piling up because for the skins that are already unlock 😤... Just a thought from a fan who's played the original titanfall and burncards added that element that made the game more special than the typical shooter

I'm prrrretty sure you do not actually need to hold the trigger to fire the Cold War. Even if you pull the trigger briefly, it will spool up and fire, regardless of if you have released the trigger. As a result of this, firing is not cancelable, as it is with other weapons that must spool up like the charge rifle.

This is the babies EPG imo. Its so much easier to kill the average pilot while wallrunning, landing from a double jump, etc. EPG has only 1 shot to use. Its like the DMR vs. the Kraber. Kraber is cooler, but less useful because of the lower fire rate and the fact you get only 1 shot, while the DMR can be spammed.

i run phase so i dont need to run fast mags and instead run tacktikill and extramags fast regen and low profile and i run a pistol like the mozam in case they get to close so i switch and kill them i also run grav star for easy kills or when playing on game modes with titans trap ejecting pilots in my grav star.

Razi Khalifa No jump jet trail only really helps with cloak, but delayed rodeoing is the reason the kit is the best. And for shotguns, take THE EVA for competition and the Mastiff for screwing around
