I’ve also seen people using children’s play dough to make impressions off baskets and placemats and using the dough to transfer textures onto the Gelli plate. I’d like to see you try that.

Can't pick just one, two, or three - they look fantastic!! And you nailed the prints = Venice photos, for sure! How about using some of the prints to make a mat for the photos from your Venice trip? I'm so inspired to get messy with my supplies. It's been way too long since I played with my paint and gelli plate. If anyone has ideas for setting up a portable cart etc for gelli printing fun, do share. I have to keep my stuff in another room and I struggle to get it due to some disabiliy stuff. Ooohhh the lovely prints you created. Does the acrylic paint eventually lock in the powder so it can't flake off? Once you used the papers to mask some areas, the texture and depth became so dramatic. This technique could also imitate leather textures or maybe even fur? I cleaned it as usual with a damp cloth & baby wipes. Only one of the prints I dusted off to print another layer over!! So much fun! Cheers Froyle

Awesome technique and I love your color choices! You could also use a fine mesh strainer to get a finer sprinkling of the powder if you wanted it. Cheers!

You did the image transfer so easily! I’m struggling to get mine to work. It’s done on laser printer, I’ve used thin layer of black paint and it barely works.

Are you using a commercial laser printer or a home one? I always use commercial copies. I have heard if you run your print through twice on your home laser printer it works better. It is always to print copy that is the problem! Happy creating, cheers Froyle
