Froyle, my favourite spread is the last one. The abstract on the left hand page reminds me of the ocean with a cave entrance at the back. In the tree, at the level with the girl's eye there is a little elf man, he has a pointed hat, and a tabard with his skinny legs underneath! Regardless of what I see in the page, I find your way of collaging so refreshing; I had always thought collage had to have lots of little pieces, but I am so drawn to your more sparse pages that make such impactful use of colour blocks. I am trying to make such pages, but I've found my gel printed papers are more suited to the former style of constructing the collages, so I am just going to have to pull out my gel plate and make some more paper. What a dreadful chore!

These are my favourite pages so far. I love green, because I love the woods, the forest, the trees. That’s also an element and a colour I like to use in my art work. When I said I liked your yellow pages, both here and on instagram, I wasn’t being ironic. I tend to value everybody’s art work. And, although yellow is not a colour that I use very often, I found very interesting the things you did with it. I remember that, on instagram, I commented that some art work reminded me of ancient writing or ancient locks. I don’t have the habit of being ironic or sarcastic with other people’s art work. I truly admired what you were able to do with a colour that Is not one of my favourites. I truly admired your creativity. When you say: “can you believe that there are people who liked the yellow pages?”, it made me feel silly for having said I liked them. You don’t know me, I don’t underestimate people’s art work. You worked with yellow, so I tried to see the good in it. Never in my life would I write in a comment that I don’t like this or that colour, because I would feel I was undervaluing an artist’s work, something that he/she took the time to work on and show us. Again, I did like the yellow art pages, because I admired what someone could do with a colour that I don’t particularly like. Besides, if I hadn’t liked it, I wouldn’t have put a ❤️on your post and I wouldn’t have left a nice comment. I believe that when I said I imagined seeing an ancient lock or ancient writing, I was complimenting you, I wasn’t being ironic nor sarcastic. If I see an art work that I don’t like so much, I simply don’t comment, because I would never be rude to an artist, who took the time to share his/her work with us.

Gorgeous! I can’t wait to see the leaves begin to come out of trees and the hydrangeas, all of it. I’m not some flaky (iffy) tree troll, but if I don’t get into the middle of the woods soon (which they’re starting to cut down some of my favorite Maitake/Hen of the Woods mushroom spots-and yes I cried a little) I’m not going to be able to get these Northeast winter blues off of me. Your theme reminds me of looking for Morel mushrooms and finding a newborn fawn that the mom told to stay put, and looking in vernal pools for frog eggs and stepping in scat of unknown origin. Basically everything but morels which is really just an excuse to get out there at this point. Thank you for reminding me with your wonderful energy and green themed collage.

"Image Transfer" is on my favorite list of videos to watch so it's a "Yes" from me if you want to show more of it. I love everything you do. Thank you for sharing. Ottawa, Canada. I have a question. From the image used at 33:43 the result of your image transfer I noticed the girl's freckles did not transfer from the coloured print. Only what was black/dark did. If your print would have been in black only the freckles would have probably transferred. So, it's important to know this in case there is something you would want or not to be in your end transfer result. Does this make sense to you? Coloured prints costs more so if this proves to be true it would save a bit of money if colour is not useful at the end.
@FroyleArt2 жыл бұрын
The transfer will depend on the image quality the contrast of dark and light. Not everything in the print will transfer, that will depend on your amount of paint, rather than the colour. Also I personally have found colour laser prints to work far better for me. I know they cost more, but we are pursuing art! cheers Froyle

I am noticing that the papers on your desk look to me like a blue-green, aqua-like. Now those I love, how did you know?? My house decor is white, white, and more white, accented with an aqua and with a touch of bright magenta. Sounds weird but looks so good!! That’s how I will approach this only with less white!! Hello! Soo beautiful pages today 😍. The last two pages are my favourite too 👌. Just gorgeous 💚 I wonder what you are gluing with. I have used Mod Podge matt medium but this looks more firm, Mod Podge is quite runny. I’ve had problems with colours when I try to make image transfers. The only colour that works for me so far is the brand named ”AMSTERDAM”. Not even ”GOLDEN” worked! I tried with ”Teal” which is opaque 😟. Could it be that different brands need different amounts of colour? Thank you! ❤️

I hope this isn’t a dumb question, but when you say you take your image to the print shop, how do you do that? Do you load it on a thumb drive or what?
@FroyleArt2 жыл бұрын
Yep, I put the image on a USB, easy peasy!!

Doyle, you said you used full colour prints but did you try using grey scale prints or just black and white?
@FroyleArt2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I tried black & white laser prints from my copy shop and they did not transfer, I don't know why, the colour prints always work for me! Cheers

So do you download the images on to a memory stick and take it in to be printed? I’m abit of a technophobe!
@FroyleArt2 жыл бұрын
Yep exactly!! I put the image that I want. ( use a royalty free website) onto a usb & take it to my local office shop & have it printed out in colour on standard paper 👍🏼 I always get 2 or 3 copies! 😍 just in case! Give it a go! Cheers Froyle

When I paint with watercolor, I use yellow all of the time. It is my least favorite color. I love red and purple.
