I like the black paper. It would look so different on white paper. The black paper brings out the spirit of violet. It is an opulent color. Very dramatic. And your collages are very beautiful. Thank you. It’s so much fun watching you create.

I am learning so much! And I've come to realise that my tastes are changing. I no longer want to make collage with lots of little pieces, is I am going to reduce my saved papers even more than I already have. Eco-dyeing has caught my eye, so the piles of paper I've collected are going into my steamer pot very soon. I don't have enough papers that are the colours of the rainbow, looks like I have gel printing in my future! I love it when things come together in my mind and I can feel a purpose building rather than just playing around randomly making stuff. Guess that's how you learn and grow. I'm 70 now - I've still got years of growing ahead of me. Very exciting!

I have also found that the Tim Holtz Distress Oxides sprays blur when I use gel medium to attach my pages to collages. But I love how they look before they get muddy! My solution (we'll have to see how it works) is to use a spray fixative on the paper before I put the sprayed papers into a collage.

Froyle , I have just remembered that Robyn Mclendon did a video on glazing prints on the gel plate. I use Golden smudge anything. I just haven’t tried it with the ink sprays. I will give it a go glaze on the gel plate and then pull a print ., and it doesn’t smudge. I haven’t tried it ink sprayed pieces. I will. G

Not sure if I had passed this info on for New Zealand members but I was excited to find packets of Japanese calligraphy paper at a really good price at Daiso. We have a store in Wellington but think they have an online store. Packet of 100 sheets $3.50 or 3 for $10. Needless to say I ended up getting 6 packets so I have plenty of supplies for gel printing!

So happy we haven’t reached 100 yet, surprisingly hard to do, I’m learning so much. Just concentrating on one colour has been so interesting, my hoarding piles have grown as I’ve looked for violet, blue and indigo, orange didn’t exist in my house, it does now! Froyle have you seen Robyn Mclendon’s video on glazing gel prints on the gel plate? I have tried it using Golden glaze medium which is invisible when the print is pulled . I haven’t tried it with Izink ink sprayed pieces. Fingers crossed it may work . Much better than using smelly sprays, and more economical.

I have thought long & hard as to which colour was my favourite but I can't do it because I loved them all equally. I'm having trouble finding the Liquitex basics matte gel and I've had to resign to using the gloss which I don't really like as much - is there a world shortage of cheaper matte gels? At least my Goldmine stock got replenished last week 😀 Off to make an awesome mess now 🤣😘❤️

Froyle do you think it is possible to use a glaze over the Izink sprayed pies es before you use the Matt medium, to avoid the smudging ? Wonderful pagers, you have smashed it again.

If your brushes get stiff and dried out you can soak them in rubbing alcohol and they are good to go 🪄
