Yeah, I cried during this scene both times watching it in the theater. This song is so freaking epic and beautiful. It is an incredible wake up and realization song too. It's easier for me to sing Into the Unknown cause I've already been there and done that, so it's not as emotional, but holy crap, just listening to this song is triggering, in a great a way.

They said in an interview, that Elsa was supposed to be a villain (because Frozen was adapted from Hans Christian Andersen’s Anna and the Snow Queen, the snow queen was a villain) but once they showed Let It Go to the directors, they decided to rewrite the whole movie. Kristen & Bobby Lopez was actually credited in the story development in the credits for Frozen 2. Can’t thank them enough for all the beautiful music.
@Tore_Lund5 жыл бұрын
That is rather interesting. What made the original movie engaging, at least to an adult, was the obvious aggression, boiling under the surface in Elsa. Not typical for a Disney protagonist. otherwise, I was slightly put off by the obvious 80' rock opera vibe in Frozen 2 song choices, my wife loved it, but that is maybe me, but I didn't find the songs as engaging or beautiful this time around, but I've always been the biggest Sound of Music fan in my family!

I am very certain that Disney will market Show Yourself or Into the Unknown. If it does, then it's gonna be a tough competition between Aladdin (2019)'s Speechless by Naomi Scott, The Lion King (2019)'s Spirit by Beyoncé, Cats (2019)'s Beautiful Ghosts by Taylor Swift, and the song by Chris Stapleton from Toy Story 4 (I don't know the name) which was nominated for 2020 Grammy Award for Best Visual Media together with Spirit.
@KlusaisUldis5 жыл бұрын
Oscars are Academy members voted, so .... unless they manage to create a "Meryl phenomenon", it's hard to get the members to vote for another great performance, when there's strong competition. One Oscar is an achievement, but more than that is the realm of the fantastic.

Jacquelyn Castro that’s because those films were released during the Grammy eligibility period. Frozen & Cats was not released in time to be Grammy nominated. The LA Critics film awards (which is apart of Oscar award season) noms were announced and Speechless, Into The Unknown, and the song from Toy Story 4 was nominated. Cats may be nominated but that film still hasn’t been seen by voters yet. It’s a good chance lion king (2019) won’t be nominated for anything at the Oscars though.

@@quinnnguyen8913 YES! It was Get This Right or something like that I’m so sad it got cut. It was REALLY good!! I mean Anna got a duet with Hans in the first Frozen and Get This Right was mostly Kristoff, but had such a beautiful Kristoff and Anna duet near the end, which had some really awesome harmonies. I could go on and on but I’ll stop, lol.

They did such an outstanding job in the compositions of these songs. You can just tell by the nuances and the subtle intricacies of their compositions that they really found their groove with this story and these characters. I freaking love their songs! From the music to the lyrics to the singing. They're all incredible. All Is Found, Into the Unknown, Show Yourself, and Next Right Thing are my top favorites from this movie. Like I'll be singing at least two of them every time I go karaoke! LOL

I always find it fascinating that that is the man behind the music of The Book of Mormon which is also filled with great music.
