Yeah because Idina is from Long Island (east coast I think) so her accent is different from Elsa's because Elsa is from Norway. Idina said that she has to sound more regal and younger to sound like her.

T Camille98 thats auite a testament to her acting. Maureen couldn’t be more different to Idina. Idina is actually quite modest and warm, compared to the drama queen of a showoff that Maureen is. Shes a great character to play, but does treat people quite badly. She’s actually only really played quite powerful, confident people, but sometimes people just cant be that all the time. Idina is an incredible actress as well as singer. And the fact she does it live, shows a true side of any performer.

Usually how a celeb is portrayed on tv/movies is not their real personality, so all the things that you liked about that celeb flies out the window when you see them in person. Plus, live shows are extremely expensive. There's no real control over what could happen, including bad things, and you can't just turn it off when you realize you're not enjoying yourself. You just have to sit there and suffer through it. But what were you expecting? For Idina to act like Elsa?

Cathy Johnston Look, thats just how Idina is, she loves to curse ALOT, and she knows and has admitted it multiple times in interviews- “when you’re a long island girl through and throigh, you tend to have a truck drivers mouth!” and im sure she was late for a reason. There is a reason why her fans love her so much freaking much on broadway and as a person, she means so much to many people- either sparking their passion and pursuit of theatre, or just that looking up to her strength to persevere through life even when SO many obstacles were put in her way. She finds the strength to get up and keep going. I love her just as millions of other theatre fans everywhere do as well. 🥰🥰

Anthony . Wood Agree! It’s funny because if you knew Idina from Rent or Wicked, compared to those bolder characters, in real life Idina seems much more reserved. Sure she curses like a sailor at times but she’s far from a loud mouth celebrity. She’s also so open about her insecurities and how she still has some anxieties. I sometimes forget that there’s a generation of people that expect her to have a Disney personality but she always tries to stay true to herself... and that’s a balance of her being a Long Island girl, a broadway legend, a Disney queen, and a mom to Walker.
