@@aryy5203 In the movie. In the Prologue, Mattias* is carrying both Agnarr and Iduna. Iduna actually seems to be Arendellian here. She's wearing what looks to be a cloak of Arendelle. The guard spoke to her as if she belonged with them.

The main Idea of the movie is to find the voice means Elsa couldn't find who is she really are the one she's finding is herself. why is she's finding herself? It's because the Lie that created by their grandfather. It's just that. The main reason why they deleted scenes? Because too many scene cause confusion and distraction. This seems like an entirely different story than the one that was given to us, and this scene alone does introduce new stuff, especially the hooded figure which can transform from a man to a reindeer, whose introduction might make the story even more complicated. They just went with a simpler story line in regards to the battle of Northuldra and Arendelle.

The way it glorifies magic to be a righteousness that anything standing against it is evil, disturb me. What the forest spirits did to Arendelle is just exactly the same thing the painted evil old king of Arendell did to the forest. Imposing his/its will upon others without their consent. The old king built a dam, doesn't care how damaging it causes to the environment. Same as the forest spirits place magic on Elsa, ruining her life, tearing her family apart, killing her parents, driving everyone out of town unless Elsa yields and does whatever it wants her to do. Almost kill herself in the process. Her glorious destiny, my ass. She never asks for any of it.

I wish that scene stayed in the movie, with the Deer person maybe being the Fifth spirit before Elsa, kind of like Avatar. But I'm confused as to why Iduna would be wearing an Arendelle cape, and how the soldier commanding her to go back to camp wouldn't notice she's a Northuldra. I'm also a bit disappointed they didn't keep Mattias's girlfriend as a soldier.

At that point, nobody understood why the fight broke out. The Northuldrans believed it was the Arendelians that started it, while the Arendelians thought the opposite - even though the soldiers were told of the plan before, they were still confused and I doubt that any of them wanted to kill children. So I imagine the soldier who told Iduna to get back to camp knew who she was since the soldiers had spent some time with the Northuldrans. I also liked Mattias’ girlfriend being a soldier, I think it would have been interesting if they were separated by the fog and his girlfriend became a royal guard - perhaps she offered to accompany Elsa and Anna since she knew the area, which would have lead to a heartwarming reunion.

Because it was no longer fitting in the story, however. If the other scenes came out, there would be more unanswered questions that they have to explain and made Frozen even longer until the more questions was created until the story no longer make sense. Although, they're still keeping the most important question that all fans are asking. Will Elsa get a love interest? No body knows, for now, it's an impossible ships.

@@angelinenabua6336 No, they could have made kept these scenes in and worked a better story than the one in the movie. Frozen 2's actual story completely removes the the substance from their parent's stories and makes the newer characters like Mattias and the Northoldra do nothing for the resolution. I think it's more likely they struggled with making the film enjoyable for kids and removed the darker but arguably way more enjoyable story elements. It's sad that they made more room for a half finished Kristoff proposing side story and Olaf existential crisis (which both seemed out of place) than the actual mystery of the forest. They missed out on too many good oppurtunities just looking at the deleted scenes alone.

Just a few particular scenes that can be easily tweaked and still keep its narrative. Olaf is just Jarjar Bings in Frozen II. He is everywhere because his merchandises are cheap to produce and get a higher margin.

I know they changed the story MULTIPLE times, but at that point, I think that means you should sit and REALLY consider why you’re making a movie. Are you making it because you truly have an idea? You want more of the characters? It makes money? Because unstable storyline ideas are why scenes like this end up on the cutting room floor. Truly, a missed opportunity.

You have to remember it’s supposed to be mainly for kids. At the pre screening, the kids did not understand this scene. If you have Disney plus they have a docuseries about the making of the film and they explain having to change the whole prologue because kids were confused and needed familiar characters earlier in the movie

Many people forget that on the day the forest fell, Iduna actually left not only her home but her people, her family, her mother, and her father perhaps. She sacrificed it all basically for Agnarr and she was all alone in Arrendelle and she could never go back and visit her home and I wonder how her family must've reacted too, searching for their daughter I guess and not realizing that far away she was a queen.

Way before the sequel came out, my friends and I had fan theories of Elsa being the long-lost daughter of The Snow Queen, or perhaps way before birth was cursed to have ice powers by an evil sorceress who wanted her to spread ice and snow around the world. Too bad our theories were debunked.

Personally this would've added an even greater and deeper magical sense to the world than just the spirits, it would've made things so much more interesting and would've caught the eye so much more. Same for the deleted scene of the secret chamber where they find their mothers shawl-thing (can't remember the name at the moment) Legit Frozen 2 lost such great scenes that had so much potential, ESPECIALLY because everyone would've wanted to know about who or what the reindeer man is or was, HOW did he do what could do? Was he the fifth spirit at the time or was he a mage? Which personally would've been cool considering how close the other tribe were placed as to the spirits, plus it would've shown that Elsa isn't (wasn't?) the only one out there with the ability to wield magic and such :0 Plus apart from the dam... this made more sense as to what could've caused the rage of the spirits to seal themselves away from the world (personally they didn't actually seem too... pissed off at everyone in the movie...)

I really like the use of “Dark Sea” for this scene. It fits so well~ I’d only tweak it a bit and swap out Elsa’s Theme/Leitmotif for Iduna’s Theme along with the voice calling and it’s make perfect sense for an official release. I’m considering all of these deleted scenes head canon until the next installment. They really piece together the story that Frozen II told and is such a shame they couldn’t make the cut.

this scene is actually so good I can't! Why would they take it out! It made me feel so emotional and a plus is the heroics of Lieutenant Mattias cause you can see how loyal he is. He saves Prince Agnarr, the now king after Runeard is dead, and Iduna despite her being a Northuldran(I'm pretty sure she would be wearing Northuldran clothes), and after that he still decides to run back to try to save the King. True dedication, bonding between future romantic characters, and emotional scenes due to being separated from their families and some lose loved ones.

It's a great scene but it changes everything. Who is the antler-ed man? Where is the wind spirit? Iduna was the one who had saved the prince and he didn't even know it was her until they were adults. It looks like they changed the story quite a bit since this prologue was drafted.

Wow and this scene even gives Mattias more of a distinct personality. I swear, the more that I look into Frozen 2, the more I see all the poor choices that were made in crafting the story. All the cut scenes add more to the story than they were replaced with.

What intrigues me the most is Iduna hearing the Voice. You know the one. It implies she wasn't going to be the one calling Elsa from across time or whatever that was. Which i think would have been much much better.

Why were scenes like this cut-out?!?! I mean, I know it might, (Keyword: Might) be a tad bit gloomy for kids but this was for the audience that grew up watching Frozen! So this scene would've been perfect! It might've also cleared up some plot holes!

We could have had something that was straight up fantastical. And also if they had destroyed the kingdom in the end and had to start over new.

They could totally use some of these ideas for a different film, they are quite good after all and a good writer knows to never completely discard an idea even if you don’t use it in the intended story you might be able to use it elsewhere.
