Did you freeze the dough before or after it had risen?

The dough cycle in the bread machine takes it through the 1st rise. You knock the dough back down and form it into rolls and put them in the freezer. The final rise happens after they thaw.

I have experimented some with freezing dough. Sometimes it did not rise very well. From what I read some of the yeast dies and you may need to double the yeast if freezing dough. I’m glad you told how long it took to thaw. Most people online just say to thaw it and never say how long it might take. Two hours? Eight hours? I appreciate your detailed sharing.

I need to use my air fryer more. I do make rolls, flash freeze them and throw in a bag and take out as many as I want to cook. It really comes in handy. Enjoy your videos!

Hi Ken, I’ve been enjoying your videos for quite a while now.
