I absolutely love this! The addition of the sea spray mousse is just wonderful. I always use water to dilute my sprays, but I’m going to use white next time, what a great idea. 🙂 I would love to know what molds Emily used to make those embellishments for you, I just love them. And so sweet that she took the time to do that. Thank you Marta for all of your inspiration.

Beautiful, Marta. I have a room full of stash mostly for card making...my 1st love. Lately I've been branching out into mixed media but apart from buying some gesso I use and adapt my stash to re-create/emulate your lovely pieces. I've made 'mod podge' & 'texture paste' which work fine for me. I buy from pound stores and save EVERYTHING...cos you never know when it'll come in handy! Egg cartons ring a bell! Ha.😉😘

Oh I love it! Even though you used black, the white made it a gray which is gorgeous! Its just dark enough without being to dark! What I think others mean by you using too expensive things is because they want to create exactly what you make. Those people are either just learning how to let their creativity come out or they're not creative enough yet to use what they have and make it into something of their own which can be a good and a bad thing because if they copy exactly what you make then it might spark their creativity or might not and they just end up copying everyone and never find their own creative touch.

@jackiegfeller6 жыл бұрын
This project would translate real well to using junk that is just laying around! I have been using buttons from discarded clothing that is not nice enough to donate. I found a couple of frilly little girl dresses at the thrift shop that garnered me a bonus of flowers and lace for just 50 cents! Old belts with really neat metal buckles on them are great focal point pieces, and the same thrift shop had a bunch of broaches and ear rings in baggies, again for just 50 cents. And on really good days you can get a whole bag full of items for just $5. Old washers and bolts could be used instead of the keys... and that lone ear ring that has lost its mate and others from your jewelry box could add the bling! The papers below could be a nice brown paper bag ripped in strips or an old pair of denim jeans... and for the pattern, I can drag out my old sewing kit and rob the ric-rac from it and glue it on top! This one, and so many that you do, Marta, are easily transitioned to just the stuff we have on hand. The items that are costly that you use have helped me to pick and choose what I would like to purchase from those more expensive things. And you always create so many nice things! Thank you! Enjoyed this one immensely!
