@@T3merity Yes, buoyancy is directly related to local water density. But your implication of "density" replacing "buoyancy" is plain absurd, since they are different physical properties. Thanks for your visit.
@T3merity5 жыл бұрын
@@sleeptyper Your original comment dtated that the water (the medium in which the ice bricks would normally float) possessed bouyancy. This is silly/ backwards...definition of buoyancy "the ability or tendency to float in water or air or some other fluid". Density is a more appropriate term in this scenario as it refers to mass. There was not enough mass within the given area so the *ice blocks* were no longer buoyant and sank. To be buoyant the ice blocks would have to weigh less/ have less mass than the water they displace, which they didnt because that bubbly water was mostly air. I dont think simply replacing the word "bouyancy" with "density" makes your statement sensical without modifying your sentence to an extent. Either way, density makes much more sense.

When hydraulic systems get a pinhole leak, they can cut/inject through your skin instantly. If you don't go to the hospital and have them cut you open and dig all the oily shredded meat out you end up having a amputation. Hyd oil poisons the area, and sometimes it can enter through a tiny cut that looks like nothing. Might not even bleed. What you cant see is oil is now inside you like a syringe was just emptied into your hand. Gotta get help immediately, guys think it's nothing, wait and make it much much worse. I work on pressure washers. I always thought a 3500psi 10gpm machine was badass lmao. I wish one of these would come in to be serviced.
@painmagnet15 жыл бұрын
I work on these, albeit at lower pressures. Ours are 10,000 and 20,000. We have a few Hammelmann pumps just like the ones this company is using. Personally, I prefer the simplicity of Jetstream to Hamelmann, they have about a thousand small parts in the wet end. A basic rebuild on them is about $10K in parts and takes all day.

Brilliant, do you know what speed the water exits the nozzle ?

Idk but fast enough to cut flesh and bones.

The pressure is 30000 N/cm^2, so a cc of water is moved 1cm with 30kN force, 300joules of energy. If my math is right, there is enough energy to propel the water at 775m/sec, or ~2500ft/sec., although some of the pressure is used to overcome friction, so maybe the velocity is less. Also, 30lpm at 775m/sec should require a nozzle about .91mm in diameter, and should create a force of ~40kgf or 390N, which is why the operator has to hold the sprayer firmly, and a power of 150kw.

How much force does the nozzle make? Or, what is the size of the opening of the nozzle and I can calculate the force.

I can ask for that information for the car video since I haven't edited that yet

From a distance the water jet looks wide and not focused, but close up the cut is amazingly narrow and focused to a very thin line.
@Karjis5 жыл бұрын
you can have the same effect with small pressure washers, really sharp waterjet will turn into mist due to air resistance in really short distance.

What an insane waste of energy. Let's do it again!!! That was freaking awesome. In America every house on the lake would be suing the shit out of everyone right now, lol. Homeland security, water cops, regular cops, the whole f*cking thing, lol.

No joke I triggered a visit from the local EPA delegation for hosing down someone's garage/shed a few years ago (With the water hose). The owner got taken to court. whoops. Thats when I learned that you and everyone you know commits a few daily felonies... (what I heard was all federal...class e or f-ish or something around there?) ...Most were meant to only be enforced commerically/industrially, but selective residential enforcement is a thing now. ...so yeah don't let any cooking oil or salad dressing go down the drain ;)

If you sprayed that directly in the air, how high would it go? Would it make snow or rain, or would it just disperse without falling back to the ground?
