FrSky Horus X12D Exclusive Preview

A radio awaited by many the awesomely looking FrSky Horus X12D should be making its market debut anytime soon. This radio will support 16/32 channels and potentially OpenTX. It features a nice display with a resolution of 800X480, its body is made of aluminium and it will have WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.

At last i found a video to show us the back of the radio too,i wanted to see if it had a module bay but this one does look a little different to the others i've seen,so i'm hoping they keep the module bay at least,plus they could all look different by the time we get our hands on one. +startazz I think they'll keep that module bay. It's the same one as on the Taranis and also fits their modules that they make, so I wouldn't see any reason for them to change it.

It looks way nicer than the Taranis E and I heard rumour of halls sensors finally. TO get rid of potentiometers for good would be tremendously welcome, I just hope it's not limited to a single protocol. Deviation on it would rock. I wonder if the screen is fpv able.

Whether or not this radio will have OpenTX will be a deal breaker for me. I come from other radios (Simprop, Futaba, Spektrum) and now with OpenTX on my Taranis, I am absolutely sold. IMO OpenTX is a must.

Why is all external Connection on the backside, the designer has Not tried to put down the transmitter connected with anything, what happen during the design face the only way that will work is upstanding or you break the wires.. WHY... and I can see in another video there is a joystick to operate the menus, that happens to touch screen, this is an old design or what.. touchscreen is a old invention and is installed on mostly everything else because it's easy to operate. but I believe this remote is very expensive because of carbon/metal front. also its seem very large to hold on to, unhandy unless you use neck strap, which i don´t. I hope there is something i haven't seen.
