Ohh that scale you have is way better than mine!! Also, do you ever run into issues with packaging stickers internationally? Like issues with customs? Also, have you ever used services that provide tracking with your stamps? If not, do you ever worry about lost mail? I love that you write information on the package too to keep track and the vellum paper is such a good idea!! I’ve used that before and I never thought to try it out for something like this. I’m looking to upgrade my thank you cards too.

Yes, this scale is really great! Highly recommend it 😊 As for shipping internationally, I haven't had too many orders from international customers so I don't have a lot of experience with it. I haven't used any services that provide tracking with stamps either. Lost mail is a concern but not a major one at the moment because as I mentioned I don't get too many international orders. But as my sales have been picking up, I'm thinking of offering upgraded shipping for those customers that want to have tracked mail. I'm still learning about shipping so I'm always adapting 😊

Hello! This is a stupid question, but for packages (with the bubble mailer) will you no longer need a stamp? Is that only for letters? Was wondering if it’s a flat package, but will use a rigid mailer, would that be a package or would it need stamps?

So for bigger orders or orders with bulky items, I use rigid or bubble mailers to package the items. Then I purchase a shipping label online. That is basically the postage and there is no need for stamps. I like to offer stamped letter mail for small sticker orders because its the cheapest. I think technically you could use stamps for the rigid or bubble mailers but you would need way more stamps and so purchasing a label just makes more sense and is easier. Hope this clears things up for you! 😊

Yes, I do! But I do have to lightly tape it glue a sheet of regular printer paper to the vellum because sometimes the printer doesn’t recognize the vellum

Can you please explain how can I use FedEx or DHL as to run a sticker business? The shipping cost for 0.02 gm product is really high on those like about $40-$50. What should I do? Please help!!

FedEx and DHL are private shipping companies therefore their fees will be insanely expensive. Just use USPS or whatever your local postal service is

What are those brown paper bag envelope called? They are bubble wrap lined on the inside? I always find it difficult to find them in my area. Do they have a particular name for the envelope?

They are kraft padded mailers or kraft bubble mailers! I get them online on Amazon 😊

Nice. It does seem like having ur own shipping label printer is a good time-saver. Can you imagine going to the post office and having them process all those different labels one by one? Geez, it would take forEVER 😂

You can purchase and print labels at home too but it took me longer because I had cut out the labels from a 8x11 inch paper. Label printer is going to help me speed up that process and have less waste! I could not imagine going to the post office to process all my orders one by one! Anyone in line behind me would absolutely not be happy with me lol

Not only that, but if you have some bad clerks running the post office, then they can charge you fo rthe wrong amount! had a small business friend almost faint when the "helpful" clerk said her light envelope would cost more than $50 to ship...

I use Squarespace and currently I use the option to do a flat rate that depends on the destination. So I have a different flat rate fee for every country that I ship to and changes depending on the weight as well. Basically, I have ranges for different rates so based on the destination and the weight, I charge a specific rate. It's a bit complicated but that's what has worked best for me.

I would pack it very similarly! I would just use half of the vellum paper and fold it up then put it into an envelope 😊

Definitely not a must! I offer stamped letter mail as a cheaper option for small flat orders. You can just use shipping labels to send out orders and products :)

Yes, packages can go in that packages drop box or you can take them to the counter. Also as for your other question/comment, I'm not how Etsy works as I've never really used it. I've only really made sales through my shop and purchased labels through Shippo :)

Stamped mail is untracked. If you want tracked mail, you get a shipping label. You don't need both :)

When a customer places in an order on my shop, they also pay for shipping. On shippo, I do "pay" for the shipping so that's why I account for that when someone buys something. Hope that makes sense!
