The Champion's Journey - Zain Marth Highlights - Super Smash Bros. Melee

So something I've noticed with the descriptions of the videos I do is whenever I pose a question of like "Where did _____ get their name from?" there's always someone there with an answer.
Like I feel like I could ask any related Melee question and someone would answer. Heck one time I asked how many calories Ganondorf was and someone responded to that.
So now I'm thinking like... what I started asking things like "How many times has Mang0 beaten S2J?" or "What's Axe's favorite kind of pizza" or even "If Zain started doing taxes for Capcom, then how much money would he put aside for styling his hair?" and someone would answer.
You guys are fountains of knowledge and I think that's incredible.

Hi gang, These highlights were made from the videos that Beyond the Summit took down from their channel. I didn't get everything, but I was able to make a couple of highlight videos before all the vods got taken down. If you don't know why those VoDs were taken down, it's related to Nintendo's Cease & Desist of The Big House - Beyond the Summit probably didn't want to catch Nintendo's attention by having a tournament with 'Slippi' in the name. "So if that's the case, then why are you publishing these videos Frudgey?" is something you might be asking. Fair question. For one, I think this channel is simply way too small for Nintendo (or Beyond the Summit, for that matter) to even take notice - and even if Nintendo did know of this channel's existence then they'd certainly know of Beyond the Summit's existence so I don't think it'd be possible to get BTS into trouble with these videos (So I hope). Moreover, this isn't even taking into account all of the other channels (including some high profile ones like Mang0) which have SCL content on there. So, I think this is safe. And also, I think it'd be unfortunate to not have these videos - they're Smash history as far as I'm concerned so getting rid of them would just be sad. Hope that makes sense. There of course is a chance that THESE videos could be taken down if BTS (or heaven forbid, Nintendo) reach out to me, but I'm hoping that doesn't happen. Fun fact: at Super Smash Con 2018, I walked up to Zain and asked him a question. The question... "Do you want to join my Marth guild? It is called Marthy Marth and the Funky Bunch." He said yes. Since then he has carried the guild on his shoulders (even if he doesn't remember joining LOL)

@@Frudgey He is honestly like a modern Ken. Not in terms of dominance, but in terms of playstyle. I am sure people would see the parallels, especially in how they both would slowly rack up damage on their opponents, not so much for the sake of getting a high percent kill, but to control the pace of the game. Both Ken and Zain really show how Marth can be an absolute wall whose hitboxes determine how the opponent has to approach. Controlling the pace in a match to that kind of degree is very difficult to achieve, let alone sustain and yet both players were really good at doing so.

hey man thanks for posting the awesome zain highlight videos! I've been following him for about a year or two and while he's an amazing player, I never imagined he'd climb to the number one spot in such a short period of time. I really admire how hard he works and the amount of passion he's put into the game, and it's awesome to have these vids available since its unfortunate that summit took them down. #FreeMelee, but melee has always been fine in the long run so I'm not worried :)

Zain is the only player to make other top players VISIBILY tilt. 90% of the clips shown here you can see the top players mentally punching themselves because Zain is exploiting their weakness to the fullest. It's crazy to see. Hell, even N0ne tilts against Zain, look at 7:00, N0ne literally curses. The stone-faced, no emotion N0ne.
