I am better at packing light for travel than I am with my EDC! So many just-in-case items and I like to use a backpack to be hands-free but also so I have room to carry shopping - the disadvantage is that that extra space gets filled up. I no longer carry shop discount cards because I use the KeyRing app on my phone but I think that's it for minimizing what I carry. You are inspiring me to give it another look. Thanks.
@TheFrugalMinimalist5 жыл бұрын
A backpack sounds great! I know those to be posture friendly as well and I can see how the extra space can be both a blessing and a bit of a curse 😂Thank you for the nugget on the KeyRing app. I’ll be sure to check that out. I’ve kept photos on my phone of the barcodes and while they work fine, there is the issue of finding them, upping the brightness so they scan properly.

Great version of EDC; I carry similar things but keep my medicine in the foil packet in a tiny first aid pouch as here in UK people would think you had illegal drugs if you carried them separate like that.
@TheFrugalMinimalist5 жыл бұрын
I can really see how they'd think that! I've been on the look out for a smaller, official container for the medicine. Do you buy yours in a packet, or do you package it yourself to put in the first aid pouch?

@@TheFrugalMinimalist In UK they come in foil packets in a box of 2 packs; so i put one pack in my little first aid purse which comes from Poundland which is like Dollar Tree, it comes with tiny first aid items and i add a foil packet of painkillers, anti-allergies and a flu powder sachet. After my wallet was stolen, I started carrying a thrifted cross body Bagallinni with several zip pockets and six integrated card slots as my wallet/purse. My iPad barely fits into it, and it's small enough that if I need my backpack or larger bag, I can just tuck the Bagallinni in. I'm a caregiver, so my carry is not as simple or pretty as Wendy's, but it is pretty organized.

I had to stop bringing my purse with me. My boyfriend would leave it & our child 🤦♀️🤬 in the middle of an aisle and take off. I was already in a different aisle & would just walk into the next one with our kid sitting there in the cart alone. Now I keep a close eye on our child and just put a couple cards including my ID,and maybe a little cash in my phone case. It opens up to store a couple and I purchased one if those sticky card holders for the back of the case so it’s plenty of space and I just keep it with me. I put tissue,& lotion in my jacket pocket and lip balm goes in the jacket or pants pocket too.
