I think we can thank the swifties for the drop in egg prices. I didn't believe in the power, but they tweeted to Taylor Swift, who wasn't aware of how expensive they had gotten & and boom, she said she was on it. Next thing you know, egg prices were down. Like less than a week! It was crazy.

For syrup, buy a bottle of maple extract and add your own sugar, water. You don't need to cook it long. Tastes better than fake maple from store and loads cheaper.

These videos are so satisfying. They really help with the anxiety that inflation has brought on with the larger hauls. Seeing the price differences between the smaller hauls and larger hauls can feel a bit overwhelming, but both are normal and they do average out. Buying the best buys where and when you can is really the best way to keep averaging that out and these videos are a great reminder of that.

Syrup: 1 part brown sugar 1 part white sugar 1 part water , heat on stove top til simmering. Remove from heat then add splash of vanilla. Or use 2 parts white sugar 1 part water and add molasses. I've been doing this for 13 years and refuse to pay for a plastic bottle with corn syrup and water.

RE Cauliflower, not sure if you knew this, but the green leaves on the side can be used similarly to cabbage. I know so many people that cut that part off and throw it away or compost it (which is great too), but you can do so much with it for yourself as well. When you’re trying to save money, it’s such a waste to not use that portion as food. Heck, you could even make sauerkraut or kimchi (both full of probiotics) or just use it in stir fry or add it to a bowl of ramen. So many uses! Also, yes, i like cauliflower raw dipped in ranch as well lol! fellow cajun texan here

I think I’ve been watching you for 3 to 4 years now. Just a guess, because I’ve lost all concept of time. Anyway, during this entire time I had been looking in my Kroger for the discount stuff. I never could find it. Being a night owl, I always shopped at night, a.k.a. after 9 PM. But six months ago I got a job where I was working overnights again. Which meant that (if I got out on time) I got out around 6:30 AM. Once I finally had a bit of cash, I started going from work directly to Kroger. And I finally found it! I finally found the discount, bakery items, discount meats, and discount salad mixes. I have yet to find any discount naan, but I stop there on the way home at least three times a week. My new chest freezer (7 cu ft) is nearly full of discount chicken, beef, bread, vegetables, broth, and even a little bit of guacamole. Every single thing in that freezer was no more than half price. So thank you for the many years of information! I’m pretty sure I’m set for the next year! 💙💙💙

I was curious how much protein I got in a day, so I made a list of everything I ate in a recent day. At the end of the day it totaled 99.1, which I thought was pretty good. Then I remembered a comment one of my doctors recently made. I had back surgery in Nov, then at my second post op appointment in December, the doctor said that I healed really well. With the number I came up with when I figured out how much I was getting in protein, I’m sure that was a big part of it. I used to work in a surgery clinic & the nurses always told the patients to be sure & eat lots of protein & it would help them heal & I typically try to do that myself if I’ve had surgery. It’s amazing what good nutrition does for our bodies.

I love those 60 eggs containers. My daughter and husband's breakfast of choice is scrambled eggs and toast. My daughter also loves boiled eggs with Ramen noodles.

I always enjoy your videos. I take such satisfaction in getting great deals...and am always floored at the clearance prices where you are! Im in British columbia, Canada and although I score amazing deals: seems yours are so much better. Im a single mom of 3 boys and am constantly on the hunt for more dollar-stretching ideas. Thanks for being here (even though its via a screen) to encourage and motivate XOXO

Wow! How lucky and blessed you are. I only get $116.00/month in food stamps because i have a disability and can't work. I can only spend $30/week for food and that doesn't cut it. So I've signed up for Fresh Express food distribution at a local church near me, and that helps a lot. There is so much foods for free, that i had to use one of their wagons to take out all the foods i picked out, to load in our truck. I am so very grateful and thankful there are programs like this to help out with the rising costs of foods. We are asked to take as many products as we want. The foods are delivered by the food bank. Now we will not go hungry because of this wonderful service. Really helps out my food stamps budget. 😊

Agree with Boer’s head. It’s the best. We have one of their processing plants here in Holland, MI where I live. ☺️ Eggs are 2.22 a dozen at Aldi. Lowest price around us so far.

I shop at basically 4 stores that are across from each other...2 miles from my house. There are 3 more stores I sometimes hit that are about another mile away. The only way to save is to shop multiple stores as long as you're not driving too far.

I agree about the snow. I'm in Utah and it's been insane. April 4th and we have a fresh 6 inches. Ski resorts will be open til end of May. I am over it. I was over it 2 months ago.

I cannot do canned green beans! Ate then as a kid, thought they were awful. But I love fresh! I buy eggs from a local hobby farm, their raspberries last years were amazing. The eggs are $7 (CDN) a dozen and I’m happy to pay that because I know her chickens are happy and treated well. But I understand a lot of families can’t afford that.

Love local eggs. As for green beans, can is just not for me. I buy the big bag at Costco and the family loves them with some sweet and spicy chili sauce.

We are a WinCo household 99% of the time. We hit up Safeway for sale items (mostly meat when they have the $10 off $50). Our Walmart is only grocery and pharmacy so OTC meds is the cheapest there overall. Oh also I work part time at DT so a bit there is cheaper than all else. Top Ramen 5 count $1.25 beats other stores in our area also the cherry pie filling is amazing 2 cans to make a pie so $2.50 vs $5 yes please. Also Grocery Outlet for some fun stuff mostly. Lastly Costco every 3-4 months.

Triple 6s at Walmart for the business expense. Hm, don't know how I feel about that one, lol. Fiber helps feed the gut biome, thus making the dietary (key word, dietary, not supplements) vitamins/minerals become more bioavailable for your body. If your gut biome couldn't handle large amount of cruciferous vegetables (gas/bloating), you can try cooking them down first, or introduce them in smaller amount/portions. Some people opt with sprouted broccolis/kale, or fermented veggies like sauerkraut/kimchi/pickle-juice to get a kick start on gut health (similar to kefir in dairy).

I love the word skedaddle...is that how you spell it? lol I just googled it - it's the correct spelling! Afterthought: yesterday was April 1st here in Spokane WA - it SNOWED in the morning! Fortunately the afternoon rain melted it.
