I continually laugh when I see you buy one lonely onion. I know how you hate to chop them. I buy 5-10 lbs at a time. We love them in everything. My average onion usage is one large onion PER DAY. That’s why they say “different strokes for different folks.” Fun fact: as a young married woman back in 1974, I would buy a 50 lb sack of Walla Walla sweet onions (we lived near Walla Walla, Washington.) When they started to get a little soft, I peeled and chopped them up, put in portions in Ziplock bags in my large freezer, and had onions all though the winter. My mama taught me well. I always take from scratch, it is much more frugal and healthier. I giggled when you said you had to put marshmallows on the sweet potatoes or your family would e upset, my grown kids still require me to make certain things and now the grandchildren are growing up with them. Another great video. I am a canner and the new recommended from the usda is to use clear jel for a thickener for my can goods. With that being said clear jel is cheaper than corn starch. So I use clear jel for my regular recipes to thicken my food. So when you are in Lancaster next time check and see if it's still cheaper.

Almost clicked the buy button on a new pair of boots. I thought I needed them to replace my 15 year old LL Bean boots. I went and looked at my old boots and it looks like if I clean them up, they will last another year or so. I have no current need for new boots. If the boots fail, well there is a world of other boots out there, probably cheaper after the holidays.

I made your pie today Emmy!!!!!!!!! It’s for tommorow but I’m sure it’s going to be a huge hit!!!!!👍❤️🦃 it just so happens that I have espresso powder! I had to use it in a recipe before & I ordered it on Amazon so that came in handy!!!! I also ground up some chocolate chunks to make a fine chocolate powder to sprinkle on top!! Nice grocery haul. I love the Hint of Salt Wheat Thins. I spread plain cream cheese or onion & chive creamecheese on them. yum! I don't like Cool Whip either. But if you have a Stewart's store near you, try their own brand of whipped creme in can...by the milk. It is exactly like home made. I'm salivating over that chocolate cream pie! It's my favorite kind of pie. That and Peach Pie. You're a mastermind with that CVS savings. I can never figure it out. I also don't have a cell phone for an app. Happy Thanksgiving again! :)

Sarah I paid out of pocket for everything including tax $3.20. They gave me $5.00 back to spend on anything next trip. That is a difference of $1.80. Hence the $1.80 extra they gave me!

You are like me, I don’t like lots of Ingredient that I’ll only use once or twice. Paul, I’m not a fan of that green bean casserole, I never made it, I make green beans with 🥓 and Cubed potatoes 🥔 and 🧅 and green peppers. Happy Thanksgiving!! ✝️

We also have antipasto as part of our pre-turkey spread! We just call it a “meat/cheese/olive tray” though. I never really realized that’s what it was! 😁 We loooove capers and I make a delicious lemon caper chicken to go over pasta sometimes. It uses white wine, too, but I’ve substituted chicken broth at times if I was out of wine and it’s just as delicious. www.allrecipes.com/recipe/132703/chicken-with-lemon-caper-sauce/ (We actually make ours wetter/more saucy to really coat the pasta but you get the idea.)
