The Torah portion of Beha'alotcha begins with an explanation of how the menorah in the Tabernacle was to be lit. This explanation has great relevance for each person's spiritual service of God. We then explored the meaning of King Solomon placing 10 menorahs in the first temple in Jerusalem. In as much as each menorah has seven lamps, all together they had 70, a very symbolic number in Judaism. From the actions of King Solomon, we can postulate his deeper reasons which reveal his universal vision for his reign and for the temple he built.
