Hi, I'm really thankful for this tool, it will make it possible for me to gather the funds I need for surgery so I wanted to personally thank you :) Also, I think I'm doing something wrong cause it renders every single trait all together in each variant, I imagine it has to do with enabled and disabled collections/objects but can't pinpoint what cause if I do that it comes out all black... should everything be disabled except for the proxy or maybe I'm placing the light sources in the wrong place? thanks a bunch!

One suggestion in case this is not possible already. Add subcollections within a collection: - For instance, a "Body" collection with multiple assets within it would work just fine but in the scenario that we wanted the assets to come in multiple colours, each colour would need to be treated as a separate asset. So it would be helpful to have instead, Bodies> Asset #1 > Black Colour or Red or Green etc....

I just wanna Appreciate you for this Addon, I've been using it since the version 2, I'm a Nigerian, 3d artist, been using blender for 10 years now. I recently found a new sustainable source of income creating 3d NFT Art collection for clients. I use to manually generate as much as 500 unique characters before, it's was super tedious, nerve wrecking and takes forever to complete, this wasn't sustainable until I discovered your addon it has literally saved my life, I just completed 3 different large NFT collections for clients at record time.

LETS GOOOOOO!!!! Been waiting for this, but I didn't expect so much new stuff!! Thanks so much you have no idea how helpful this is to me. One thing thought, when i generate a collection the "FZ Randomizer 3.0" Tab goes away regardless if I click the arrow or not. It comes back after control "z"ing a few times but thats pretty inconvenient since it deletes my variants. Other than that this add-on is perfect!

Sometimes it does this if there’s no active object selected. Just re-select an object (click on proxy object) and don’t have to control Z in this case

Friggin legend!! for animated projects can we send it to a render farm? also, for the batch rendering, can you choose how many variants you want the system to generate?

Yes! It's possible. It's a little bit of a hack, but when you're ready to render, you can change the "number of variants" slider at the very start to the amount you want to batch render for animations. Then it will only render that many. You can also use the start and step in the output panel to determine where the render should start as well as how many frames the render should jump when iterating through the renders. Just remember to change the variant slider back when you're done. Again it's a little bit of a hack for now, but that will work!

Thank you very much Logan. This is an amazing addon, that will save us hours of work. I just wanna report a little thing that a have found. When go over 99 object in one sub-category, the 11th object will be repeating and replacing 100th and 101th and so on. Anyway thank you again and again and again and so on...

hellllll yeah dude! I've been watching your progress on this for a while now and its coming along great!! I'm working on a project at the moment where we'd like the ability to recreate our 2d collection in 3d, Just wondering if you have a plan to add a feature where we could specify a folder for existing metadata from the collection as a template to generate the 3d files from ? 🤔 maybe just a feature that toggles visablity of the different traits depending on what the plugin can read from the json file, exports the render/3d file, and moves on to the next json in the list?

Yes! This is absolutely coming next. Actually the functionality isn’t that difficult to do. You’ll just need to recall the .csv file line by line.

This is an amazing bit of scripting - thank you so much for sharing this with us. I have a quick question though about VRAM usage. Does this load every single possible texture into the VRAM from the start and then only render what it needs on each frame - or does each frame load a different set of textures? I've got a lot of heavy textures that I'm randomising and am running into GPU memory issues. If you could clarify the above, I'd be very very grateful indeed

One more question. Not sure you can answer this one. if you were making a collection, and wanted to list the trait rarity or overall rarity per rendered image, is that something that can be included in the metadata? and if so, is there a way to include that in the JSON file? looks like the % was removed from the CSV as well. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the update, this is massive! I'm just wondering if batch video rendering can be automated with this? I got it working with batch stills, but it seems to only render a number of animations based on whatever variant is selected from the geometry nodes setup?

Hello, i created various 3d objects in blender and file size was 4gb, while generating 10000 images using randomizer, blender was not responding, it got stucked.my System config - ryzen 7,32gb ram,12 Nvidia graphics, SSD 256. Whether I need to upgrade the system or blender will not allow large files ?

Hi FZ, amazing tool! I face now one problem... I exported 2000 NFT's and uploaded them to IPFS. Because of that i have to create the metadata after the Generation of the NFT... When i click Generate, it will create different NFT's again with the Metadata. Is there a way to Generate Metadata for the old Variants?

Hi FZ! Love your videos. Long question for you. Is there a way to use fzrandomizer to create a collection based on existing json data? I’m essentially translating an existing 2D collection into 3D. I have all the 3D assets completed and the json data from the original 2D collection. I’m looking for a tool that can essentially read the original json files and create a collection based on that (instead of random) so I can avoid manually putting together thousands of traits in the blender outline 😅 I’d love to hear you thoughts

This is amazing! Quick question: what rendering engine does it support? Cycles or Eevee? And could I render using another installed renderer?

It supports both Cycles & Eevee. I’ve also seen people use Octane render engine too. I haven’t tested others yet but it I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with others as well.

I love this addon!!!! Thank you so much. Is there a way to render each object, even when generated, on the layer the original object is on. So for example layer 1: Head, layer 2: hair, layer 3: nose, and when 5000 combinations are generated all the heads get rendered on layer 1, hair on 2 ... but at the end you still have the whole variation on one image?

Hey FruitZeus.. is the "rarity" percenage displayed in the panel accurate IF I am using the Rules to "never" other items? So for instance lets say a Jacket is 11% chance BUT a Shoulder Bag where the mesh clips the Jacket uses the "never" rule to make the Jacket cancel.. does that Shoulder Bag's "never" rule inadvertantly affect the 11% somehow? Excuse my basic understanding of math and percentages if this is a dumb question. Thanks. Love this addon!

Do you know how I could add display attributes in the metadata? Opensea allows people to have “{ display_type: “boosts” name: xp value: 20}” for example. This creates a visual bar on opensea that looks pretty cool and adds another trait to a collection. Been trying to implement this or batch edit json files to add objects to the attributes section.

I have a small issue with the animated generation and I can't seem to figure out the cause. Let's say I have 10 mp4 variants I want to generate (100 frames animated nfts). It generates 10 mp4 videos with the same trait combo (the combo that is visible in the scene layout) + the first 10 frames of the video are randomly generated stills :O Any idea what I am doing wrong? P.S. Using 3.65 blender so that FZRandomizer works

Quick Question! When you are rendering out the variants is it possible to use render layers? I'm planning on creating a tool to allow users to swap certain things out of their NFTs and the only way I can think of to do this is somehow rendering the image into layers. This is great. Thank you. Just one question, if I were to upload my NFT files to pinata I'd have to upload the images, come back to my metadata file and change the image url and upload the json file to pinata right? (at least that's what I did with hashlips art engine for 2d images) Can I do the same with this? Do I just come back to the "image" box at 15:13 and click and re-write it? Would it change automatically? Would love to get a reply. Thanks.

No worries i figured out what it was.... it was because the ticket system only does integers and its from 1-100 meaning me trying to have 179 unique ones isnt working because they are getting more tickets in comparison

Thank you Logan for this amazing plugin! I too have a weird question, is there a way to render a list of specific variants? I rendered my whole collection this weekend, but I'm realizing there was a particular hat asset that didn't show up in my renders. ( I know, I should have checked my assets before rendering the whole collection) But could there potentially be a way that I could re-render 7, 24, 32, 47 and 82 etc?

look at the timeline after generate for the item you're 'missing'. sometimes it went flying somewhere else because of the keyframes. delete the keyframes

@@elonmusketeeeeer it's not the frames that are the problems, I meant that that hat object's render icon was unchecked, so through out the collection that hat didn't render. I hope to only rerender the variants that I have that trait, without redoing the whole collection.

Does this not work well with the updated versions of blender? I'm trying to create 178 unique frames from 178 photos to render out individually but one of the photos keeps repeating itself even though I'v ticked generate unique ones. Thanks in advance

When I hit generate, csv works fine. But I can't get JSON files. I really need an urgent help. Can someone give the solution?

Seems like this is not my problem. My problem is when I hit generate, it generates all but I can't see variations in the scene and when I render I only get all assets all together. I couldn't find any solutions.

Thanks a lot for this video. Any tips to speed up the render process? Right now it takes 4-5 seconds for each nft generated in PNG format. It would be difficult to create 10k collection. Please guide

hello im finished building a collection, but when i click on the viewport FZRandomizer 3.0 arrow nothing opens, no menu or nothing. is there something wrong with my settings?

I keep getting this error when clicking the "still render" button: Python: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\prodl\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.0\scripts\addons\FZRandomizer_3_0_0.py", line 3237, in execute proxy.modifiers["FZRandomizer"]["Input_3"] = 0 AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'modifiers' location: :-1 How do I fix this?

Hmm good catch! Make sure you have the proxy object selected when you configure for render
