You know what would be an awesome feature for this? A socket system. I'm setting up FZRandomizer to make random creatures. A socket system (the way I'm imagining it) would use Empties as spawnpoints for different parts. So for example you have a selection of different Torsos, but they're shaped very differently. So you set Empties labeled "Arm" and "Leg" in the appropriate place on each Torso piece, and it will only spawn Arms and Legs on those particular spots. If a Torso has multiple Arm points, it will spawn multiple Arms for example (so you could go from a 2 legged human to a 6 legged monster or whatever).

Thats why none of them make color or aesthetic sense, just use algoritm and make a lot of "non-unique" stuff, i miss when artists made real unique pieces to sell even as nft

I am not so sure if add-ons could have interactive visual interface properties but if you could achieve to create a system which (resembles ai neural network node schemes) subcollections have nodes between each of them which we can edit, that really would make your add-on the best combination add-on out there. If that's not the only:)

I'm happy you were able to come up with this. a true life saver. I have a question though, i understand that fz randomizer now uses proxy swap and its more like using the geometry node to generate them. that means its just a model that can be changed indistructably into the other variations, yeah? what if lets say i generated 10 variants and i needed those 10 variants each to be exported as fbx files for a game that i need those 10 models, how do i go about it? i hope i was able to put this question correctly😁

this addon is really cool. I had a chance to use the previous version. but I would expect it to be something like filtering. For example, a blue hat should never be matched on a golden head. or something like that. if you have an idea to add this it would definitely be a great improvement.

Amazing work!!. I bought it last night and is still blown away. I was wondering along with the rendered frames is it possible to export the collection of all the 3d varients models or Rigged characters without doing it manually? VRM, GLB, OBJ or FBX?

you can manually create instances for colliding objects. I had a similar case too where I painfully separated all of them manually. Took some time though.s.s

Sorry if i'm spamming comments lol i saw many people asking if you could implement a .JSON type file along (or instead of) the .CSV file. I'm working on an NFT collection (about 1 month left before minting) and my biggest worry is how to add the metadata to 10K different NFTs... my .CSV file is working but not as organized as yours it's very different i don't know why. Anyway rant over, you rock dude and made many of us' dream come true! Keep up the good work FZ

respect your work bro!! How about adding this feature : "Subcollection within Subcollection". Example You have hat_1, hat_2, hat_3 and each hat has 10 accessories, That means it will generate hat_1 x 10, hat_2 x 10, hat_3 x 10 and it will make a lot more variety because right now this plug-in only generate each part one times and it go to next part.

Do you think there's a way to exclude certain traits that don't work together when generating? For example a hair trait that wouldn't work with a jacket with its hood up, as in the meshes intersect. Would love if you saw this, thank you and I LOVE this addon and you are a great person for releasing for free!

You can by using a matlib but if it's a collection then I guess you have to create a new collection with each of the materails and then add the collection instances inside the hosts respective collection.

Create separate objects that use the particle system and it'll work fine

wow, same as everyone else in the comments, this looks like an incredible tool 👍🏼👍🏼 Question: What could I do with 3500 unique characters? .. besides the references in the comments below we all go off and flood the NFT market with new character collections, what else can we do with them when we're working with these vast numbers? apologies if it's obvious to everyone reading the comments, but I'm just starting with Blender and I'm trying to understand what it can be used for and where I should be focussing my learning

My problem: my blender can not generate more than 100 variants (big model) Maybe solution: it's wonderful if you can generate 50 variants first, then when you generate the 2nd time you have an option that all news variants are different from the first 50 variants ? I add a beautiful dream, where thanks to a future update of your addon, I can add a rigify meta rig (human simple meta rig) as part of the attributes, and I can add a collection of mixamo fbx animations as attributes too (running, riding...) so that I can quickly generate a set a characters in action 🥰🤩😍😍🥰

Hello. So a little question. My laptop can't handle the huge blender file anymore. I was able to generate the collection with your previous version, but in the render process it closed and my laptop had quite severe issues, I think. Will it relief the CPU or GPU in the render process also? Thank you.

is there a way to have seperate base objects? Or someway to only allow certain traits to apply to specific bodys for instance? say a female and male model that may have different gender traits for instance?

i have a question: when i render all of the frames are of the same image, rather than the way that the actual frame looks. Like instead of each frame looking different like it does when keying through the timeline, the same image is rendered over and over, and all the variants are showing one on top of the other, anyone run in to this problem?

Love the work, So the metadata has to be made in a js file manually if im not wrong, right ?

If you want to make metadata in a json file, you'll need to manually do it, or find a way to convert the data from the csv document into a format that works for you.
