I don't think it can ever be purely platonic on both ends. At some point one person develops a connection that leads to attraction. And once feelings are expressed I don't think things "go back to normal." That person will remember that rejection even if it was in a gentle way

Yes, as you mature you can be just friends with the opposite sex. But it comes with lots of maturity and both parties being 100% authentic and possibly in serious relationships with other people. Also there are times when you’ve known someone since you were a child and they are truly like a brother or sister to you. It may be rare, but it can happen, especially when truly neither party is attracted physically to one another.

Nope. I don't think you can be close friends with the opposite sex. Close being the operative word. I had a group of 5 friends in my 20s, both male and female. Close meaning, we were all together every single weekend, talked/texted throughout the week. By the time we all hit 27-29 years old, none of us spoke to each other because the lines had been blurred or crossed with each one of us at one point or another during a 10 year friendship.

I don’t think it’s possible. If my boyfriend has a girl friend (who’s obviously attractive) it’s either he got friend zoned or the other way around. Mostly likely him lol. All I would think about throughout our relationship is what if she changes her mind? Or thinks she has one up on me or something? Or what if he changes his mind? It’s either they dead their relationship or I’m moving on lol. Life’s too short to be feeling insecure in a relationship.

Be a strong woman and being true to yourself can be very intimidating to a man. If they are a true friend, they would not do something to hurt you. Lying is one of those things you just don’t do. First of all I loveeee you!!❤ second I don’t think you can be close friends with the opposite sex. One or both of you will want to take it to another level at some point unless y’all are admitally not attracted to one another!! If there’s attraction and emotional connection it’s bound to cross the line!! Advice for the gentleman who lied on you…in my opinion he doesn’t deserve to have a friendship with you. What he did was so wrong on so many levels and you owe him nothing and he would probably just lie again on you honestly!! Just my thoughts. Love your tik toks and videos. I know this is hella late but i think the only way you can really be platinic friends with a guy is if its like your sisters significant other or they are in a relationship with someone youre close with. Its not your fault that dude want to be more than friends but it might be your fault for not estaboshing a boundary are how close you can be with them. Like ive been in this situation multiple times and its because i was hanging out with the in the aame way i would hang out with a boyfriend. Like i was with them all the time and wed go out to eat and do basically everything dating entails except the sex...which i think is confusing especially for men.

It's possible, people like to play dumb about how things become sexual.Friendships gotta have friend type boundaries.Intimacy exists outside of just intercourse.If you're doing/sharing everything with a person of the opposite sex but you refer to him/ her as a friend just because you haven't slept together THAT'S JUST DATING IN DISGUISE! (without the commitment or responsibility).Sex comes from the things you do BEFORE the actual act.If it's just casual sex y'all were doing something 2 days or 10 minutes ago that friends shouldn't be (if you respect the friendship). Sometimes people were just never truly your friend 🤷

My F uncle from moms side we were so close as best friends came in to me he didn't see as his niece maybe because we were more friends than relatives so i don't believe in this kind of friendship also my cousin did the same i thought he was my friend 🤦‍♀️
