Oil companys must hate things like this, but I remember using systems like this in my time as a marine tech. in the navy back in the 80's

Good video, I like the narration to! I though the dukes of hazard were gonna come ripping threw one of the shots at any second!

This product can be used on gas engines also. There aren't as many applications for gas engines but give them a call. They help you get what you need for your vehicle.

This device is a load of b.s. for diesel pickups. I have run one for about 3 years and the oil doesn't look any different than it did before. Am going to abandon this device and just change it every 5000 like I was before. There is NO WAY I am extending change intervals with this device. I don't care if they are extremely small particles(and they supposedly slip in between the wear surfaces), there's no way that amount of material is good for that engine. Some of these jokers that claim their oil looks like new at 20,000 miles are full of it. Don't listen to these guys.

Your oil will not "look" any different to the naked eye. The ONLY way to tell that the unit is working is to send an oil sample to a lab for analysis. I've run these units for 20 years and the lab results show that they work as advertised. In this video they add a solid to the oil that is black in color so you can see it. These solids are suspended in the oil. The demonstration is meant to show how the filter can remove the suspended solids from the oil unlike the standard full flow oil filter. Your engine oil has both suspended and dissolved solids in it. The filter does not remove dissolved solids only suspended solids. No filter is going to remove dissolved solids.

These filters go down to less than 2 microns most oil filters are close to 20 microns

You are clueless. Many big Diesel engines now come from the factory with bypass filters on them to achieve 50-80K mile oil change intervals. They do exactly what they are supposed to do which is to remove particles in the 2-10 micron range. There’s not a regular oil filter on the market that can remove these size particles. There are fleets successfully running 100K mile intervals in their trucks with oil sampling using bypass filtration.

@@prevost8686 Then these clowns need to stop using the snake oil method of selling these. The 'dissolved' impurities(see Charles68 comment) makes a lot more sense than the FS advertisements. The bs comments about the 'oil looks as good as the day it was put in' need to go away. There's no way they're running the oil for extended intervals and there are no visible contaiminants. The impression they give is that they can take this stuff out of my engine. When it doesn't, I feel like I've been sold a line of bs. This engine is way too expensive to rely on another 'magic' device that's going to save me big $$. If you want to be real, show us the oil after 100k miles and let's see the lab analyses(fresh vs. end of life) and the physical condition of the oil and we'll make a more informed choice. Use data, you idiots. How many pickup owners do you know that send in their oil every 5-10k for testing?? At $37 a pop, just change the friggin oil. Semi's might be worth the effort, pickups-not so much.

@@markhorton5331 I too run an fs2500, and feel the same way. My basic thought, is how do you replenish the plethora of additives, and remove acids, as the oil molecules themselves break back down to carbon form? Which additives need replenished, and how much? That would indicate these guys are sending the samples, and getting custom made additive package to keep it within spec. That sound plausible? Hell no. These are sales guys, or regular people that have no idea what they are talking about. My 7.3 is hard on oil, I change oil filters every 5k, with the system in place. I change the bypass filter every other oil change, and on my third change with the current one. Is it added dead weight and potential leak points? I dunno. It filters finer than the regular spin on, so it stays for now. $37 each filter. Maybe I'm wasting $, maybe it's worth it. I'll tell myself I didn't waste any $, and it's filtering finer so I feel better about it! 🤣

I think everything is about convenience today and this is forgotten technology. In the early days, the only filtration was a bypass system. There was a reason that just about all trucks had a 750 Luberfiner back in the 70s... Some people will not invest into better technology by adding a system like this one.

If you submerge in oil their filter in a jar, tell me how its the filtration process done? Just a small tip, before buying 🤣.
