FS17 Side Panel demo

Short demo of the Saitek (now Logitech) side panel for Farming Simulator 17.
Mods used (as shown in video): Drive Control, Quick Camera, GPS

This is the best setup I've seen round here. Best wheel + best complemental tool + best mods. Straight using first camera even attatching stuff in the tractor. GPS and camera options linked to the panel to avoid keyboard + mouse as much as possible. You did an awesome job mate and I want to perfection my setup like yours once I receive my saitek side panel. Good stuff.

Hi there, i got a G29 as well but is doesn't work that good in farming simulator 2017. The force feedback blocks the wheel. How is it not doing that on your wheel?

The trick with the G29 is this: 1. Start Logitech Gaming Software 2. Start FS17 3. Alt-tab back to Logitech Gaming Software and just enter the wheel settings where you change the wheel rotation stuff. 4. Just enter those settings if you previously had set the force feed back to like 10% and hit OK 5. Alt-tab back to FS17 and it will be good.

hi Jens I would like to know the red button on the saitek control panel what is it and how does it work? Then the view to the left of the knob moves slowly while the one to the right goes slightly faster.

The red button is just a button, it can be used to define more alternate functions of the joystick and other buttons.

Hi.my son wants the g29 and logitec side panal.Do they work together or should I just the the steering wheel especially for farm smulator.he wants to be able to play racing games also.

G29 and Side Panel works perfect. That is what I use myself. No issues with Farming Simulator or any other racing games. Good luck.

For me, the solution was to plug the Saitek control panel into a 2.0 USB port instead of a 3.0. I had both (G29 and Saitek) plugged into a 3.0 USB port. So now it works. To make it easy: - G29 in a 3.0 USB port. - Saitek control panel in a 2.0 USB port. And no activating of combined pedals needed. But maybe try if it still won't work after the solution above. Don't forget to do the following: Startup farming simulator 2017 Go to options. Go to the second tab (controls). Then scroll down to accelerate, brake and steer right/steer left. Those 3 keys you need to bind manually. Go to the gamepad column. And then double click: hit the gas. Double click: hit the brake. Double click: steer right and left.

I have mapped 1 and 6 to GPS mod... 1+6 turns GPS on, 1 alone activates the auto steering, 6 alone changes the GPS hud display I use the Quick Cam mod and I have mapped the left blue button to the Quick Cam mod Togge Forward/Rear view function

If using the side panel just rotate the stick to turn the camera....it works for me
