You might know this already, but you can type approaches and departures directly in to SkyVector. Just replace the decimal in the transition code with a space. For example "AUDIL STELA1" or "DPK DPK3". It can be quicker than typing in all the way points, but it gives you a bit less info and control.

Great video but skyvector doesn't seem to give the approach and airport info for Canadian airports or Europe. Can't seem to get ils frequencies outside USA. Any suggestions ?

I use fltplan.com and mapviewer.fltplan.com for some Canadian info. It doesn't have the same functionality as SkyVector, but they do have Canadian charts.

Navigraph is the most convenient option but costs money. Usually you can also find them online for free if you spend a little time searching for them. Also many countries have an eAIP website with all the current official charts, sometimes you need to register an account there first so it's not as convenient, especially when you want access to charts from airports in many different countries.

@@NOTAM1 Great link but unfortunately there are no approach charts. Only airport and taxi charts. What I really want is all the approach charts for all Canadian airports. This has approach charts for some of the major airports but not many. www.uvairlines.com/admin/resources/charts-canada.htm

He's talking about the 3 degree decent. But I think he meant that that trick generally works because arrivals follow generally follow a decent rate of 3 degrees. But don't take my word for it.

I know when you fly this, you won't use ATC, but if you did fly this arrival would the simulator 'know' you had and ATC would pick you up near the airport, or is this just showing how its done "in the real world"?
