Another great video there Steve. I am enjoying your longer. The guy unloading the plow didn't seem to happy with his job. Kept complaining about everything being a pain to unload. Keep doing what your doing and stay safe.
@GameRunnerd Жыл бұрын
Kept? He only complained once. The only one that complained during this video was the guy driving the truck. The last half of the video was him complaining about the train station, and not being unloaded, because he didn't get their by 2 PM like his dispatch literally told him to do. He thought he knew it all. Then he started complaining to the forklift drivers, first words out of his mouth. Like they had anything to do with what he was told. I hate unloading truck drivers like that. All they do is bitch when you literally have zero control over anything. Which is why that maintenance guy who singed the papers said 2 works the entire time. You could tell he didn't give a shit. It's 6 AM bro just woke up, last thing he wanted to do was hear a truck driver complaining.

Wow, if I knew when you were in the area I would’ve stopped to say hi I frequent that yard quite a bit and I remember last week the week of October 29 remember seeing a crate like that on your trailer and I drove by it and sure enough it was a shaft or one of the parts for one of the cranes they use here to lift the containers off the trains and put on the chassis. I remember seeing you over at the southern Michigan railroad back in August was very nice to meet you then,great video as always keep up the good work keep on trucking and God bless

If you think back diesel was only used by commercial trucks, ships, tractors back in the day. Then in the late 70's to early 80's Mercedes made that diesel powered car. The early to mid 80's Gm had a diesel engine (converted from gas). Ford had the little courier trucks that had a diesel option in the early 80's.the F series got the international 6.9 diesel option in 1984. I remember seeing diesel for .29 per gallon and gas at .49 per gallon. Those diesels in daily drivers were like unicorns. Everyones daily was gas powered. Then people caught on to diesel being cheaper and getting better fuel mileage in the late 80's to early 90's into the 2000's. So less car sales which Gm, Ford, and Chrysler discontinued a bunch of models for lack of sales. So now they have a car or two, a suv or two, and trucks. So when so many people were buying diesel pickups, the fuel companies flipped the script because their profits were going down . Gas was their cash cow. Now that diesel is so high in price along with the premium price increase to buy a diesel trucks, like Steve said when he bought his new truck.

I tell you what, if I ran a trucking company, I'd send invoices to shippers/receivers that made my drivers sit around due to miscommunication. $250 per hour for the first 4, then $500 per hour after that, and I'd split it with the driver 50/50. I remember when BS like that used to be unacceptable, but now society has softened and people get away with just about anything now

They won't pay it. They won't even pay attention, which is written on almost every rate confirmation. The drivers are always getting treated like crap. Granted, there are a lot of POS drivers. But we're not all like that.
