You are actively experiencing EVERYTHING we Clemson fans were experiencing under DJU right now. Literally. What you are saying (about DJ) is exactly what we were saying. The only difference we had was we had Will Shipley running with heart and passion, and we actually had a defense. Shipley was our leader on that team, and DJ was the one that lost games. Our loss to South Carolina was the wake up moment for Dabo that year, and then DJ came in to play UNC and through the ball into the dirt at wide open recievers and then we put in Klubnik and he looked like an all-star. DJ should have never been a starter on a P5 team. PERIOD. He is absolutely not cut out to be a QB at this level. But yeah, everything you are saying is what we felt too when we had him.

You can't build culture through the transfer portal. You can't build OL/DL through the transfer portal. You can't develop a underperforming transfer QB in a single off season.

I think this is not so surprising when you consider how hard Norvell leans on the transfer portal. The problem with doing this is that you almost have a new team at times. With the old system, players sit on the bench for two or three years and at least learn the system and where they should be in different situations. What you have at FSU is a bunch of starters who didn't even know who the head coach of FSU was two months earlier. It's going to take some games for this bunch to really become Seminoles. But I don't agree with the idea of getting rid of scabs of coaches, players so that next year you have another group that has never played together at FSU. Let's just make the best with what we have and next year get back to High School Talent more with just a smidge of the portal.

I'd like to see LK/BG as much as anyone, but we've won a lot of games with worse QBs than DJ. I'd put him in the lower-half of problems that FSU has. Weinke and Winston would likely be 1-2 with this squad....Ward might be better because he was so elusive and accurate on the run, but none of them would do much all else being equal.

I definitely agree with you. I'd say the OL is the single biggest problem because we can't run the ball or protect the QB. We just have a lot of bad that's snowballing into one big terrible product. DJ is part of the problem, but he's not the only part for sure. I don't even know that changing QBs would fix this, but our point is that at 0-2 and down 3 scores at home to Memphis, it's worth a try.

The record this year needs to just be shelved....wins and losses don't matter now, only the future, and the only way out I can see at this point is to go to HS guys and promote FSU as a place where you will get playing time in Year 1. There really is no other selling point above what other schools can offer.....come to FSU and play for a big-time name as a freshman on national TV. They need to go after the right kind of guys too.

From what I remember there was DJU and another QB that had name recognition. The other player was never coming and DJU was really it. Remember FSU let Rodemaker leave. He knew FSU was fishing for another QB and he would never be given a chance. Rodemaker looks really good right now.

I have learned since i almost died this year that football teams do not dictate my happiness. Football is not important in the grand scheme of things.

Glad you are still here 🫡 You are right that it's not. Just to be clear, we're not bandwagon fans. I live through 30-0 vs. WF and sat in row one behind Jacksonville State's bench for the hail mary. We bleed Garnet and Gold and just want better for the program we have loved for a long time. We aren't going anywhere or canceling any booster donations. 👍

Hate Willie T all y’all want he still out recruited Mike Norvell.. he went 9-12 and was fired immediately Norvell had a worse record for back to back seasons he lucked out and had a great transfer portal but in reality this is who he is.. it was just easier to fire the black guy FSU fans are sh*tty like that not saying Taggart was good especially watching them prance around with their turnover backpacks on screaming lethal simplicity but Taggart didn’t lose 3 in a row and he kept recruits in a dumpster fire.. UF and Miami came off of piss poor season and STILL out recruited and undefeated FSU team let that sink in… He sucks at recruiting how do you bring Pat Surtain Sr and you can’t create a south florida and land those dawgs from Miami like we used too he’s recruiting guys in Georgia etc dude is a a clown, Maalik Murphy, Cam Ward, Riley Leonard etc etc and he says let’s put all our chips in and bet on DJU 🤡
