Rwy 23 I believe, it's been a long time since I recorded the video. Cheers!

Thx Rob for the tutorial, trying to learn this aircraft but have lots of questions. This video you talked about the power etc but didn't zoom in or show how to change the torque/power for aircraft. You mentioned props as well I believe I was just kinda lost. I know you mentioned 3000 lbs of torque where you normally keep it at. If this was bit clearer for me it'd make a big difference on how comfortable I am in flying solo.

Hi Storkman, the torque is controlled by the throttle levers and the prop rpm is controlled by the prop levers, I am only going by what settings I think are commonly used. On takeoff, 3700 pounds of torque and 1700 prop rpm. The engine gauges show these numbers. Climb 3700 torque, 1550 prop rpm. Enroute, I use around 3000 torque and 1400rpm. Decent and approach around 1000 torque and 1400rpm, then on final, torque as needed and prop rpm to 1700. These are only numbers I use in fsx and I am not sure exactly what they use in real world, but the numbers here work in fsx pretty good. Hope that helped. Rob

***** thx Rob that helps, ok I found prop levers, couldn't find them at first. i looked at performance manual tables & curious if those are safe speeds & anything above that will be Overspeed? Also can you advise what the buttons labeled O M I in vertical stack on left side of dash mean? I didn't see anything in manuals that addressed them.

Hi thanks for the nice tutos. Just one thing you say click on the autopilot switch but I can't find it. You have yours on your joystick but where is it in the cockpit?

Ing Zimmerman the auto pilot engage button should be on the pedestal, in between the two pilot seats.... should be right next to the ya damp button.... unsure if it's like this in FSX but in the last 1900D that I flew that was equipped with an auto pilot, that's where the button was in the real plane. Hope that helps.

Tusane001 thanks for checking out my video.... only add-on I have beside the 1900 is REX 4... I highly recommend their work....it's payware, but well worth it.

Does the Fms have the ability to follow a vnav course? Like follow a DP and a star? Can it calculate and fly a descent (like the level-d, or the art by flight 1)
@RidiculousFlightSimmers9 жыл бұрын
Yes it can, but you have to be using the NAV button on the FMS. Be sure to switch to App mode prior to the Approach starting or the fms will always descend to 1000 feet. Once the autopilot is coupled with the App button you have complete control of your altitude again by setting it then clicking clb or dcnd.
