Haha, Also went to Birmingham for Midsummer Madness (at 12z) and the approach end of the airport was fine cavok. But about 5nm beyond the runway was THAT THUNDERSTORM !!!!1!!one!!elevenone!!! First time I've hit weather like that in Active Sky 2016 apparently. Hit similar weather into Orlando for USA FNO in the Maddog, also dropped the autopilot out! On Lets Fly Dubai to Istanbul later on Saturday, my PMDG 777 weather radar saw some more fun red/pink off towering CB up at FL380, and I requested 15nm right of track to go around it, got a bit touchy with that red colored stuff on the radar thereafter!

Matt pretty sure when you hit extreme weather like that near and airfield normal practice is to inform ATC so they can adjust approach pattern to keep people out of it or warn other flight crew beforehand.

Matt, as the pilot in command you assume ultimate responsibility for your aircraft and the souls onboard. It is perfectly acceptable and regularly practiced to tell atc "unable" when asked to fly into a red or yellow patch on the wxr. Teamwork makes the dream work communication is everything.

Well, I am flying on my Virtual Airline which has a program you can find on dlhvirtual.com , there you can see your rate After your landing. My record is -16fpm, try it :)

For this reason they invented ILS but in Airbus nah it's just gonna disconnect in such conditions, RIP

ILS is really for low visibility and you wouldn't fly through a red CB on the radar, it's just a flight simulator limitation

Way too low on final, as you're passing 400ft you're already a dot below, that's an instant G/A. Also, IMHO you overcontrol it quite a bit. Yes you have to correct for changes and wind shifting, but you gotta give it some time to see how it reacts to your input. Otherwise all you're doing is making it even more unstable ;) Great graphics by the way!! How do you think it compares to the aerosoft in terms of FPS and VAS usage?

Great video. One thing I may have missed in the stream is why the autopilot won't connect at all later on. I can understand why it gave up on the initial divebomb, but you had it pretty stable at times after that.

Looks like you timed it just about right going under that thundercloud. Gave you a little flash just as you pulled out (ooer) from under it. Quick question - the landing lights look sweet AF - is that the A320's doing or stock P3D V3? Nice to see your vids still coming out reet regular. Also catch that fly and keep it. He was obviously an omen of good luck. Also a carrier of disease and vomiter-on of food but superstition has never failed me apart from the times it has.

Dear Matt, I follow all of your videos and watch them with great enthusiasm. You're doing a perfect job and I consider you an expert in this field. I kindly need your advice on something which I really can not be sure enough how to proceed when it comes to choosing the sim platform. What would you recommend ? Which one is more professional and realistic with better graphics ? Which of them do you consider more desirable ? FSX or P3D lets say v3 and above? MATT, I just bought FSX, And I have downloaded many addons for it to make it Real. ORBX Global base + fsgenesis + Rex4 with soft clouds + Gsx + Immersion for 777 and a320 are enough to make my gameplay real.
