Thanks for that! Your the only site where someone actually shows you step by step on how to program.

Thanks for walking the whole way through this. I thought it would be more complicated but looks like its mostly like programming up a FM repeater. I just got a FT70D and looking forward to getting it going. 73s

I have a Yaesu, and have no clue what was done here. however, I appreciate this gentleman's efforts.

Tony T I agree, there is nothing that came with the radio to help with basic programming...

Thanks for posting. Once you're on the repeater can you pick & choose what distant places to try and contact or, are you limited by the repeater setup??
@2j4ez2 жыл бұрын
If the repeater is fusion then you can press the wires x button and select a room to connect to
@statesideqsod2 жыл бұрын
@@2j4ez Tnx fer the quick response. What about reflectors YSF or FCS: Can you directly connect to these via your local fusion repeater or do you also have to go through Wires-X?

Did I miss something? Did you show connecting too fusion after the audio report .

Is there a way to “review” the information settings once it has been programmed into to memory? How do I check this ?
@2j4ez5 жыл бұрын
If you go through the memory to the repeater you want to check press function then mode it will change from channel name to channel frequency then you can check it. Press function and mode to get it back to channel name

Thank you for the video. I’m a newbie so if this is a dumb question, I apologize in advance. When you programmed in the repeater, your first step was to change the mode to DN. How did you know to use that digital mode instead of VW?Thank you.
@2j4ez4 жыл бұрын
There’s no such thing as a dumb question we are all still learning every day is a school day. I’ve got a app on my phone called repeater book and I can tell the app to just display fusion repeaters near me and the one at welham green showed up hope that helps

Thank you. I have a Yaesu FT-70 too and one of the digital modes of the radio is DN and the other is VW. Does Fusion indicate DN, not VW? As I understand it, VW is voice only digital and DN is voice and data?
@2j4ez4 жыл бұрын
@@marks2254 not sure what vw mode is maybe you have a newer firmware on the radio than me?? I’ll look into what vw mode is
@marks22544 жыл бұрын
On my radio, the Digital VW mode was turned off at the factory. To turn it on , go into the menu that opens when you long press the Function button then dial to menu item 16 (DIG VW) and turn it on. That’s how it was with my radio.
