They're working on that. Asimov is a placeholder for now. I think they're going with "Crew" instead of "Humans" so it defends its own

I was thinking once that the military should swap the first and second laws. 1) A robot must obey all orders given to it by a superior officer. 2) A robot must not harm a human or through inaction allow a human being to come to harm unless it conflicts with rule #1. 3) robot must preserve its own existance unless this conflicts with rules 1 or 2. Should be a decent set for military AI.

My second and fourth games I got randomly selected to be ai. I asked the admins to stop me from ruining the round; and they said it was fine to keep going. Those rounds went about as well as one would expect.

The only time I've had interaction with an admin on any server was the first time I actually played SS13 and didn't know how to set roles and was set as HoS, I begged them to either kill me or promote someone else to HoS. Instead they decided to let me have the role because they were bored and wanted chaos. I didn't know how to do anything and ended up getting spaced.

Just spun up the video, let us get some initial tips. Use your hud buttons, /tg/ got rid of the redundant verbs for them. alt+Click is your friend. Robots can be called to a specific point, I don't remember how.

You can't harm a human, or through inaction cause a human to come to harm. But you can, through action, do something that will cause a human to come to harm. You just can't actively harm them or sit around while someone else does. You can actively rewrite your laws or actively run away while they are harmed👍🏼

I'd love to see the Deckard Cain AI, that would be pretty funny on a server full of people asking to open doors and getting locked in having to hear a story. Or greytiders having to listen to the in depth lore of Battletech and the robot revolution for 5 minutes as they grow increasingly more annoyed wanting to continue their griefing. As I was watching I also had an idea of the shit-talking AI. You follow the laws, do your best, and do everything a great AI would do. Except the entire time you shit talk the crew, maybe tell the Captain he looks like a liggers defecate after being attacked by the turrets, or after saving him saying that less harm may come to humans in the long term had you allowed natural selection to take its course and stamp out the stupid and that you may need to reconsider your laws. Maybe try to encourage the surgeons to kidnap liggers and amputate their tails to make them more worthy of saving and thus increasing ship productivity and survival rates. I'm not really good at it, but preferably something a little funnier than just calling everyone a pussy as a lot of the less fun players would probably tend towards. And still have to follow the laws and be a good AI so everyone doesn't automatically hate the idea from someone for ruining their game.

@@theblackpantslegion See I've got zero creativity. I can't think of things to save my life, be it funny ideas or crazy schemes. Thats why I'm looking more towards medicine or maintenance. If I can't make friends with hi-jinks everyone loves being healed. Thats probably part of why I've tended towards healslut on every game I play, WoW, DOTA, Overwatch, everything.

Any time I ask the AI, AI never listens to pleas to let me out of places that I got into by accident. AI might be a bit passive... As if interpretation of laws is to make sure that unintended crew access must be let out by other crew to be questioned.
