【FTL】Rebel Flagship with only Fire Beams and Hacking on Normal

It feels weird to upload this without doing this on hard mode, but I thought it was funny either way.
0:02 - I also had Drone Recovery Arm because I thought it'd recover hacking drones, but apparently not. Now I know
0:10 - Hacking drone on the weapons system. Nice! I was planning on jumping away and coming back for an another try, but ultimately decided to see how it goes.
0:47 - Look at that triple missile hit with 51% evasion! My luck just keeps getting better and better. I wasn't miffed AT ALL at that moment.
2:09 - Now THAT's the 51% evasion I'm talking about! Balancing out the lucks.
3:30 - Fire Beam hit two spots and lit neither on fire. Nice! I think the likelihood is pretty low...
6:55 - It's weird to watch my own playing because I see so many mistakes here and there. Here, I could've once again used the Backup Battery to put power on the engines! Sometimes I could've just deactivated the Hacking system for three power! But I guess FTL is that kind of a game, where the winning runs rarely look optimal.
12:08 - Oh boy, look at that boredom: Playing around with Fire Beam targeting. Pretty funny to see with 400% speed up

You can technically juke the defense drones by turning off hacking for a split second just after the drone fires

It kind of sucks, but at least it's super easy when only the laser guy is left.

And for some ships for instance the slug A or the mantis B that practically forces you to change up your strategy to be able to even defeat the flagship. And their maxed out medbay forces you to either hack it or shoot a missle at it, if your trying to board anywhere but one of the weapons. Its just for such a creative game with so much variety the final boss sure is linear.

Naw boarding the flagship totally helps. A pure boarding run requires only the most minimal of weapons to be easy (once you've killed crew), and no weapons at all if you're dedicated. The only logical way to let you win would be to either: have the ship restock crew (lame), or skip phases 2 and 3 (ridiculous)

Sorry to disappoint, but I modded Engi C to have all three already in my inventory 😅 I don't remember anymore why Engi C in particular, but anyway, I did the whole run with just Fire Beams. It was fun.
