I decided to check my arse hair after you mentioned looking in the mirror because I've never bothered to look. I dropped my kegs and turned to look in the mirror but I must have twisted too quickly because I suddenly got horrible cramp in my ribs and it hurt so much I couldn't bend down to pull my trousers back up. So thankful no one chose that moment to come in my room.

I'm non-binary and I've been thinking a lot lately about going on T, but I'm not sure what would happen if I decided that I was good with how my body was an didn't want to change much further. Like I want to change a few things, for example, I'd love more body hair, a deeper voice and the changes down there but I don't really want to change too much so it's good for me to know these things. thank you for sharing c:

conformal squid This is pretty much exactly how I feel, the only difference being a differing gender identity. I'm genderfluid, and I'm very strongly considering pursing testosterone, without the intent to fully transition. I settle somewhere in between the male and female genders for the large majority of the time (but I do still experience "male," "female," and "neutral" days, and change pronouns, names, and clothing styles accordingly). I definitely want a deeper voice, a masc hairline, some level of body hair (I don't really want insane amounts of hair on arms, legs, torso, etc..But I wax regularly anyway..I mainly want facial hair), and muscle redistribution. Other than that, I'm happy with more "effeminate" features, like shoulder length hair (not that hair length is gendered, but more-so that there's a lack of a better term due to societal conditioning), boobs, petite figure, etc. I also adore wearing makeup, but I definitely prefer wearing it in conjunction with binding and wearing "men's" suits. Idk. Sometimes I feel like a hybrid or something; It's difficult because a lot of transgender individuals transition to the opposite sex, and they live their lives normally from that point on. And because I feeling differing levels of gender, fully transitioning would be as useful as not transitioning at all. I just feel like taking T would definitely minimize the dysphoria I feel, and make my masc days much more tolerable. Idk, this was long at, but I just wanted to say I relate! I wish gender and hormone therapy wasn't as geared towards binary genders as it is, and recognized that other genders struggle with dysphoria too (and binding, packing, clothing, etc. only go so far).

oh same here! As non-binary I would like to get facial hair and deeper voice and maybe top surgery (?)

Wow. Your comment and the thread underneath it has just made me realize I am not alone. I'm like rejected by the Trans Community, rejected by the binary community and now I realize there IS a place for partial transition and that the spectrum DOES matter. I am non-binary leaning male so top surgery, T and some female attributes (like I have zero for bottom surgery). Partial transition is more ideal for me. This is an awesome revelation. Thanks everyone!!

+Danger Days™ I think it's because biologically, your sex is pretty binary. (I know there are people who are intersex and people with chromosome defects, but they are few and far between). It may even be medically unhealthy to float somewhere in the middle hormonally. (I'm speculating here). That's probably why men with low T are often prescribed testosterone, and women with higher than normal T levels and often offered birth control or some other kind of hormone therapy.

I just wanted to add to this. I was on T almost 8 years before stopping due to relocation, Dr availability, and finances. I've been off of it now for about 7mos (hopefully starting on it again soon) and I've experienced the same things as you. Facial hair still comes in almost the same, but I feel like my stomach and chest hair have thinned. I've had issues with uncontrollable weight gain. T never increased my appetite and I actually lost a lot of weight when I started hormones. My eating habits havent deteriorated or increased, but I've packed on close to 40lbs and counting. I'm post op and havent noticed anything in my chest area other than my hair thinning a bit. Also keep in mind the hormone roller coaster can majorly throw off your chemistry below the belt and could require OTC treatment, or even a Dr visit.

I know this is a long shot asking this question due to this comment being 9 years ago but I can’t seem to find an answer, so I been on T for about a month now (after 4 years being on it) and now I don’t have any sex drive! Will it come back?

I know this is an old video, but there isn't enough info on this online.. So first of all I wanted to thank you for making it, and also have a question. After being on T for 2.5 yrs, I was taken off it for medical reasons - have been off T for almost four months now, and probably have a month or two to go before I can go back on. I was wondering how going off T, and even more so going back on, affected you emotionally? For me, before T I reacted more emotionally and on T, used to get mad faster, but than also come down much quicker. Now, I find myself crying A LOT, and getting SO angry I feel like punching something. I just feel stuck with the worst of both worlds in a way.. I can't wait to go back on T, and for things to evan out, but I'm also worried that it will take longer for the T to take affect this time around, since I don't feel like I used to feel before starting T - even though physically speaking, my hormone levels are almost back to "normal" female ones.

Ive been off T for about 4 months now, only because of hair loss issues and I definitely plan on going back on once I can afford a hair transplant (I'm not bald, just minor recession that seemed to be progressing quickly) being off is absolutely terrible! For 4 years while I was on it i was not once misgendered. Over the past 2 weeks I have been repeatedly called "ma'am." I could tell about a month ago that the fat in my face started to redistribute and I was looking "prettier." And especially with this mask crap, all people can see is my eyes and forehead, they cant really see my facial hair. That is obviously a confidence killer. I will say that my emotions are worse than they have ever been, or it could be that I don't remember what it was like before testosterone. Testosterone made me feel clearly. Right now I feel like a monster. I think that the hormones going back to the natural state can also cause a lot of body imbalances. I have suffered from hidrinitus supperitiva since a teen, and when I was on T, it seemed like the problem had calmed down immensely with only little outbreaks here and there. Now, I can barely walk I have boils all over my upper thighs. Of course, this is an autoimmune disease that I have and others most likely do not, so they will not suffer; however, I do know that coming off the T triggered it and it may trigger hormonal bodily issues in others too, if that makes sense? I honestly am busting my ass for the next couple of months to save for a hair transplant so I can get back on T ASAP. I do not recommend getting of T to anyone.

I was on T for 17 years and I've been off for 3 years now. Body fat went back to my butt and thighs, period came back after 3 months, I cry a lot more, my chest hair almost completely disappeared as well as my leg hair. My facial hair is still strong as hell and hasn't changed too much. My voice is not quite as deep. My body odor is still stronger and my nose hair has to be trimmed regularly for management. Ten days before each period, I become down right mentally ill and either get super aggressive or super depressed. After I start bleeding , it lessens and the physical stuff begins. Interesting stuff.

I decided to go off T for family planning... that was a year ago... I think it is interesting that each experience is so differently... for me, I still have to shave more or less every day...still pass...haven't really noticed anything change back (only noticed the non reversible changes when I got on T also) There were 2 things I did noticed however... I am freezing more to a point where I have to deal with my cold induced urticaria (cold allergy? don't know what it's called in English - hope you know what I mean) which at some point stopped and I thought it was gone for good... but that came back... so now I know that T stopped it... And I got my period back after 11 months off of T, but I also have to deal with some fertility issues (but the bleeding now is so different than it used to be...).... Trigger warning Before I used to get my bleeding every 28 to +120 days, and it was more than heavy bleeding... like 3 times as much as normal, which was exhausting and very painful. Now after a very long time off of t and without any sign of period (I want to get a baby) my doctor told me to take myo-inositol and around 1.5 months my period came (I missed the initial ovulation)... The period came and was initially more like spotting and then combined with going on/off sometimes more sometimes less, and it stayed for 20 days Even though it was not as heavy as it used to be bleeding for 20 days straight is also exhausting... (had that twice before but with more heavy bleeding... so I didn't panicked) Now since I missed ovulation again (the most sensitive ovulationstests don't work for me...) I have another cycle which started yesterday but it's more like heavy spotting again but for me clearly identified as period but it does that on/off thing again... hope it won't stay for 20 days again... I just hope it's not going to stay like that forever...

The Acne could be a direct result of hormonal changes. The little I know is that when you raise T you also "aromatize" more T into estrogen. Estrogen is good for keeping acne down afaik. So if you stop T then you wont aromatize that T either. Which could lower estrogen. However you naturally produce estrogen so I don't know what the estrogen difference will be in the end. It´s difficult to say exactly what caused it but. Especially since I am not an expert on this. Just wanted to throw this info about T aromatizing into Estrogen.

Where I live you have to be on T (for at least six months or a year, I'm not sure) before you can get top surgery. So now I'm thinking about pretending to be a transguy (even though I'm nb) so that I can get T, then getting top surgery (which is what I really want) and then immediately going off of T again. I really don't want to take hormones at all... The alternative would be to save a few thousand euros, find a surgeon who will do the surgery and pay for it all by myself... Or I could live with my chest dysphoria for the rest of my life. I'm not super dysphoric, so I could probably manage, but still...

@laminhphong90614 жыл бұрын
I will decide to use T about 3-4 months and then I will stop about 1-2 months because of abilities issues. I posted my question on a ftm group on Facebook. Which things are permanent when we stop T ? A guy called me "abuse" T. Abusing something it means you do something for fun, for hobby not have a meaningful demand. Abusing T when people want to use T to try being a male for fun, for their hobbies then they stop. Some changes they want them to come back but they can't. I use T to become myself, And I've been waited to be myself for a long time. I will accept all risks. Some changes can't come back, I accept too because female features are not myself, I don't regret them. How can he call me "abuse" T when I just decide to stop for a while because of unexpected issues ? A lot of trans go off T because of unexpected issues. All of us called "abuse" T ? How do you think about that ?
@Eopyk10 жыл бұрын
Chasey, being off T will reduce body hair from all I know, but down to what it was pre-T. On us trans women body hair more less get's reduced under HRT, more with good and potent anti-androgens. I would find it strange if it did not change at all for trans men going off T because then it would be diffrent rules for trans men and trans women. Kind regards.

(Sorry I’m late) About the butt hair - to be frank - does it stop growing like the beard or does it act like regular pubic hair from that point? Im thinking on going off T permanently, being more gender fluid I feel its not necessary or desired.

Can you talk about how you felt when you felt like the changes were coming too fast?

I'm somewhat new to your channel. I've been off T for a month-ish at this point. I had an allergic reaction and it's taking time to pinpoint if it's the cottonseed oil. Did you find that depression hit hard while you were off of T? I didn't think it would hit me as hard as it has. (I'm okay, I'm a member of support groups and see a counselor. I just wanted your perspective.)
