I've only just subbed and I'm already so excited to see your journey develop. I relate a lot to this video, it really is raw and beautiful. Thank you for uploading this. I totally agree fear is normal, it's okay to be afraid. I'm starting T soon and it's already been a journey of beating my fears. Good luck for your TS appointments!

Hey Toby. Du begleitest mich seit einer Weile mit deinen Podcasts und ich hab erst jetzt mal in deine Videos reingeschaut... ich bin dir so dankbar für alles. Auch für dieses Video. Weil ich immer dachte, ich bin allein mit meinen Ängsten... ich habe in 3 Wochen meinen Hormonstart und hab so große Angst davor. Nicht, weil ich die Veränderung nicht will. Es ist dieser ganze Weg und Prozess, der einen so überfordert. Genau wie du sagst. - Trans zu sein ist nichts, was ich mir für mein Leben gewünscht hätte, weil der Weg so verdammt hart ist. Aber - danke, dass du das alles mit uns teilst. Danke für deine Ehrlichkeit. Das hilft unglaublich! Das Video ist offiziell das erste auf youtube, bei dem mir die Tränen kamen. Ich wünsch dir noch viel Kraft für deinen Weg! p

oh welch schöner kommentar!! ich danke dir dafür! das war echt nur so ein kurzes "ich halt mal eben meine emotionen fest"-video, aber ich fand es so wichtig in dem moment!!! mit dem podcast geht es demnächst auch weiter! jörn & ich haben schon neue termine :) mein kanal hier liegt irgendwie brach......ich ziehe es gerade vor mein leben offline zu genießen. ich wünsche dir für deinen start ganz viel mut & kraft!!! und denk dran: du kannst auch nein sagen! und es irgendwann machen, wenn DU soweit bist!!! egal was! testo, op`s.....DU bestimmst WANN! niemand sonst! fühl dich gedrückt! lg toby

Hey Toby, First of all: YOUR VOICE sounds awesome! Transition cam be really scary. We were both so happy to have top surgery. It is weird to give up the attachments we have to being female. You got this!

Right!?! I think I used to really take pride in being a "masculine woman" or a "Tomboy" and was sort of mourning it a little. I'm also having a hysto, and I felt weird about it after I scheduled.... I WANT a hysto, but this is this a part of my identity I'm giving up? If you ever wanna talk about it or rant or muse, inbox me on our instageam - @thumbtoeshow. Good luck!

I think being scared of surgery is totally normal especially. LIKE if you’re not scared then you’re just another sort of human...and yes validating fear without demeaning masculinity. There’s no shame in having doubts. It does not mean you’re making the wrong decision. Side note: your voice has changed so much already! 😱
