Whith a 200k account would a 50 lot trade size be too large? I scan scalp 3 to 5 pips daily with high degree of accuracy, so 3 pips using 50 lots is 1500 more than enough to pass the challenge

Yes, in your example, you would lose your account on the 3rd day, as you cannot drop more than $5k in one day.

FTMO's overnight spread policy is not transparent. Why? To steal the commission paid by traders. Overnight spread is the main cause of SL. Once the spread overnight is 3 pips at gbpusd another time it is 15 pips at the next challenge how much is it to take money from traders? The 100pip?

10% of 100k. That is 10k. You lost account if you fall to 90k. If you have 120k in account you have 20k profit. So you need to lose that profit + 10k. So you must lose 30k and fall down to 90k to lose account. But you need to know that max daily loss is 5%.

Hey, thanks. No, you can check the FTMO economic calendar which tells you which currency is impacted by the news event. Usually it's just a single currency. All other markets will be unaffected and can be traded as normal
