He really did but also what he does that other artists do that doesn’t make them as popular is how he just puts raw emotions on tracks. This reason to me is why he isn’t popular it’s hard to vibe to stuff especially SB2H when u hear stuff like amen where kudi just isn’t in a good head space and u can tell.
@GoodworkDRAKE2 жыл бұрын
Lupe kind of did this before anyone the kind of conscience backpack melodically backpack rap, we all know Lupe was really was first artist to break the internet but regardless Cudi painted it to a whole other level, and made emotional music something you could really BANGG in the club or car.. We love cudi forever for that

He’s not weird at all tho… I don’t understand that.. his appeal is that he’s a normal guy who made it and has an exceptional talent in music.. he doesn’t really flex at all.. he talks about his struggles as a real person so ppl who’ve been through shit relate to him.. he’s authentic with who he is

I’m not gonna say Kid Cudi saved my life bc I was never really suicidal, but he definitely helped me tremendously in middle school. In 7th grade, I was the most depressed I had ever been and Cudi’s music definitely comforted me bc I could relate to it so much. It almost felt like I had someone that was with me while listening to his music to make me feel like I’m not alone in this situation. He made me realize it’s okay to not be okay. I am a 37-year-old white girl, and his music moves me so much. He is such a fantastic artist and highly underrated. I am shocked that he is not more well known. I love how the artist stated that Cudi said it is okay to be weird, which is how I feel and listen to his music. More. Most of Eminem’s music for over a decade has been pretty much unlistenable. (Who can actually truly enjoy rap god musically? No one. The supposed appeal about the song is Eminem rapping fast. that’s conscious enjoyment, not subconscious, bob your head, sing along enjoyment) Eminem’s skilled, no doubt, and his early stuff is timeless, but most of Cudi’s music is far more enjoyable to listen to in comparison to Nem, plus, Cudi has adapted very well to the new era of rap with MOTM III where as MTBMB is a very lukewarm, stale, and at times obnoxious album (talking about “stepdad” here)
