The problem with the ladder is that you dont get deducted points for losing. So bad people can eventually make it to master if they play a lot

its not true... when u come in ultra and/or master league... when u lose the game (either u concede ir lose totally), u lose points... ive been experience that during last month's ladder...

I think a lot of people may have come from poket because I see a lot of them play the entire aquarium of a type. Like a fire deck with zard and 50 other fire unrelated pokemon. And I'm like what?

It might be due to cards being difficult to aquire. New player only have a ton of pokemon and hardly any support or tools to go with it. It's really all dependent on your pulls

I have a theory. I think what we’re experiencing with crazy, binder, random decks on the ladder is directly due to the rising popularity of Pocket. People are transitioning from playing Pocket in the masses and are building decks like they’re used to without realizing it’s a totally different monster.

Also, ranked yes is a bit butchered. Casual is pretty random, it takes a lot harder to find them but therr are absolute gems of hidden decks you can find

In my experience, too many uploads kills the channel b/c it's hard to keep up. I know for me, I have several channels I follow, and if one of them is spamming episodes, it's gonna be harder for me to get invested and keep up b/c I don't have the time. You've got a great brand/personality/creativity, and that will carry you farther than a bazillion uploads.

My theory about the ladder (which is based on nothing and totally made up) is that TPCI is training a bunch of AI players to learn the game. And the AI is still at that weird stage where it just does random nonsense until it eventually learns a way to win.

You should build a funny deck with the Cradily evo line, Does 100 damage for every condition affecting the opponents active. And its ability flips a coin, if heads, you can choose to poison, burn, or confuse I think

Yoo the deck I tried immediately when surging sparks dropped. Sometimes what I struggle with is bench space so I do have w Ogerpon just in case the opp has area zero, also sob is funny sometimes. I also threw Carracosta for the funsies, makes easier taking down stage 2 mons but yeah things have to be going great to justify king ordering it instead of another Kingdra.

The ladder is an absolute sham. I’ve literally started copying the battle logs of games (when I remember to) because of how weird the state of PTCGL is. My notes app is a treasure trove of WTF. I’ve resorted to playing control/mill/stall just to feel something.

I play the same deck, but with feraligatr and Mylotic. Mylotic is just auto win against tera decks, and feraligatr balance the prizes. Kyogre is good against certains decks too.

Problem with the ladder is they demote you from Arceus down to Pokeball every 6 or so weeks i think. I personally barely play since this change. I dont want to play against people who are not very good and i dont want to have to fight my way from Pokeball to Arceus every ladder reset. Its just annoying.

My only guess on why it's so chaotic with decks is I bet there's a huge influx of players trying the game from Pocket so that's the only thing that's changed recently. I've been grinding the ladder and it's definitely a wide range of skill levels while it's slightly annoying to go against it I'm actually really happy because it means more people are getting into the card game

I mean, with the new system, there’s ZERO reason to play casual. You don’t lose points until you get to Master League. I haven’t experienced any major differences since the update. But bro, you get what you get, right? You complain when you get a meta deck that bodies you, you complain when you get a pile that gives tou all the time in the world to set up and win, maybe you should play against a friend, then. Just do that. Maybe bring back Road to Arceus once or twice a week or something.
