This is crazy. This is almost the exact deck I ran for the challenge this time around. Only thing is I didn't have the expeditioner. I ran 2 Sabrinas because I thought forcing opponents out of position to give myself entra stall turns helped.

Win-loss ratio is irrelevant in this game, every single game is a 50-50 no matter what deck you use because there are many factors that are out of the player's controll that determines the winner, if you don't draw what you need guess what you lose, if you go first and do nothing guess what you lose...

I have been a Dragonite fan since day 1 and have tested a lot of builds. My highwst win rate is currently with 2 MEW and 2 Budding Explorer then the Dragonite line, no other pokemon. The explorer and a retreat cost of 1 is a great stalling tactic

Edit- having an EX is risky (Sabrina, Bel, decks that counter Mew EX)

The problem i have with mew in this deck is that mew is strng, thats true but cost 3 energy.Normaly you must use every turn to give your dragon the energy. that will cost 4 turns because of 4 energy. That mean normaly you dont have the turns time to give another pokemon energy Than in this case 3 extra turn ? Thats a lot. The only good point is retreat cost 1 or 0 with the trainer card.

I've been using a dragonite deck for a wile now and my favorite version must be the one with snorlax, mew and old Amber. The main reason is that you have just 4 basic pokemon instead of 5, so you have a guarantee dratini from the first draw or from pokeball. The snorlax tanks for 150hp early game and so does mew for 130, twice actually with explorer. It gives you enough time to build up a full dragonite, and old Amber can shield you opponent's sabrinas. And I love snorlax full art! Playing a bad ass 150hp basic pokemon who just chills out and sleeps in front of your opponent is intimidating. You just have to use all the retreat cards you have. Of course if you face Mewtwo you have to charge Mew first and you counter him easy. Still not a top tier deck and suffers against some decks like pika and celebi, but it's so much fun! Dragonite mechanism is so unique and wins you matches from down 2-0, you also have the rng from his attack that makes it even more epic!

I just found out that if you use mews genome hacking on 1st gen raichu it also copies the remove all energy part of the move which is weird because it doesn’t do that for moves like psydrive on mewtwo.

it follows the text exactly of the copied move, for raichu is says discard all energy, for mewtwo it says discard 2 psychic energy. so if u dont have psychic energy on genome hacking it doesnt discard any energy

It makes sense when u look exactly on the wording: raichu removes all energys. Psydrive or charizard remove two psych/fire energys. But mew can not remove psych or fire when it only has other colors

That's correct. Mew-EX also doesn't discard 2 fire energies when copying Charizard-EX, provided it doesn't have any fire energies attached. That's also a disadvantage of ruining Mew-EX in psychic builds: in those Mew-EX HAS psychic energies to discard when it copies Mewtu-EX

I've always liked Druddigon but never got the opportunity to play it in competitive battles. I am SOOOO GLAD this goofy looking dragon has found a place in a Pokemon game where it's good! "Don't run psychic energy" BROOOO 😂😂😂😂 I've had it happened to me the other day when I added Mew and forgot to take out the energy. I was like, "Why am I stuck on psy---OH GODDAMMIT! *concedes*" I love how flexible Mew is. It's automatically a boost/free EX for any deck to function. Can someone explain the stages of pokemon? Cause I see all these creators say the “stage 2” when it’s the 3rd stage of a pokemon. The card has an image of the previous evo and that’s what the stage identifier above it is referring to.. like charizard is a stage 3 pokemon.. not 2?

This is a frustrating oversight in the game: Whenever you update your deck list, the selected energies get reset to match the attacks of all your Pokémon in that deck. When if you didn't add or remove any Pokémon that would change the energy requirement. Happens quite often
