My fuchsias are doing great except one pot. It’s wilted despite receiving the same amount of water and fertilizer as my other 3. I discovered that each has a little “neck” of something wrapped around the top of the roots so I’ve removed that. Not sure if it was impeding growth or something because the bottom roots are fine. It’s a mystery why it’s wilted.

When I lived in Germany, we always overwintered our fuchsias and geraniums,whereas many (most) Americans use them as annuals. I had great luck from year to year with those plants that I had on my balcony, but have no success now that I live in the United States.

Hello, what ratio of feed has anyone’s fuchsias loved?
@GardenTime15 жыл бұрын
These types of fuchsias have to be cut back every year in the Northwest, new growth comes from the bottom. If you live in a warmer climate they could possibly be left as bushes.

@@Anitadump232 what type of feed do you recommend? High Nitrogen perhaps? I cut my Fuchsia back about 3 weeks ago. It dried out pretty severely from the hot weather here. It hasn’t grown back any greenery though, and the soil doesn’t seem to be drying out at all.

My fuchsias is very thin, and sick maybe not enough sun or they just don’t survive in Vermont.

How are your winters?If it gets a little cold they will survive however if you get frost and below freezing temperatures take them inside or into a greenhouse or shed
